As per Ferrari? It’s like saying the Aston Martin replaced the db9 , makes no sense to me, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Four more to go. But I doubt if there's any 812 VS Aperta. An 812 Successor is more likely though. And there must be a 250 GTO Icona as well. Is there any real evidence of an F40 Icona?
My understanding is that there will be another V12 GT type of car to sit above Roma. Different in concept to the Lusso but on the same front-mid engined platform as Purosangue. Ferrari see significant market opportunity in expanding GT range beyond Roma, Porto and Puroangue.
Yes, but the FF/Lusso concept is going away. No more shooting brake. That will be replaced by the FUV. Don't know why this is hard to swallow. If Ferrari makes another V12 2+2, as they have indicated they want to, it will be, "an elegant GT" and not a shooting brake.
Makes sense, ala 812 successors. I would agree with your guess. But I think folks here are right, the FUV will replace the Lusso/GT4. So both. That would still leave a up to 3 car possibility left. 1) 812 Successor aperta? 2) Icona? 3) 812 special edition aperta? ???? Not claiming I know anything - just having fun with guessing.
IMO GTC4 Lusso will clearly be replaced by the FUV and 812 will split into two models: one elegant 2+ or 2+2 V12 GT and the other a sportier oriented mid-engined model.
Great thread. I’ve been nosing around for a daily and the gtc4lusso has grown on me quickly. I’ve noticed that every dealership I talk to seems to be trying to push them out the door. Untitled “press cars” are being sold. New cars are being discounted. Might this have something to do w a replacement car coming? I would think not as there is a good chunk of time between first announcement and first delivery.
We’ll probably see the 812VS, updated Portifino and LB before the replacement of the GTC4Lusso (whether it’s another GT or the FUV). Btw I’m just speculating from what I’ve read on FChat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The Lusso is one of my most favourite Ferrari models and the most under appreciated and under rated Ferrari... amazing spacious DD 4 seater so I don’t feel guilty of not being able to take my family around it... you are lucky you can get almost new cars... I would suggest if you get a really good offer take it... still searching for mine... hopefully before Q1 2021 Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
translate: nice, for heaven's sake, but it had to be v12 finished the production .. but I have already booked the next v12 for March 2022 Is the next Grand Touring already planned? already finished the gtc4lusso v12?
Actually I believe the reference is the Lusso replacement, which will be more of an 812 replacement as unlikely to be a 2+2 (i.e. March 2022), the actual Lusso replacement (full 2+2) will be the FUV/Purosangue (which, I believe will feature multiple engine choices including a new V12, perhaps 90° plus hybrid (further, I believe the SF90 is a fieldtest for the hybrid drivetrain the FUV will include)) https://www.caranddriver.com/ferrari/purosangue
Maybe this will help. No more Lusso, no replacement, instead, new vehicle, the SUV/FUV. The SUV/FUV will have multiple engine choices that may include a V12. 812 replacement may be a 2+2 but more like the Portofino, small back seat.
Grazie ! but i strongly believe the 812 sf replacement will be a rear mid engine V12 GT ( modern testarossa )
Thinking about it, it almost seems impossible it would not be so configured. You have to have room for the electric motors at the front .... and probably a small V12 at the rear, maybe 3.6L ...could be more than 2000kg
No no, New V12 generation same displacement 6.5l and no hybrid ala sf90 or LB. Just soft hybrid 48 V or something light
Rear-mid V12 will be reserved for the halo car, per previous statements. 812 replacement will be front V12. FF/Lusso "replacement" will be the FUV, which MAY have a V12 as an option (Unconfirmed from what I've read). The "elegant 2+2" is the Roma, as far as I know, and there's no V12 option for it. All subject to change!
I vote yes for such a car, I believe it will be remarkable if such a car is produced...truly remarkable
