Beautiful. I hope these cars stay at a reasonable level until I can afford one.

Wonder what the selling price for this car would be now?

    Owner wanted $90K in 1999.
    Probably worth 140+ now.

Yes, sold in 2000 to that Ferrari black hole known as Japan.

    Actually, you are both correct.

According to the article about this car in issue 9 of Flat 12, this Boxer is known as the sixth 365 GT4/BB chassis assembled, but the second production car.

    1) 17185 - first prototype* (possibly the 1971 Turin show car)
    2) 17223 - prototype
    3) 17257 - prototype
    4) 17269 - prototype

    5) 17301 - first production car, sold to Pininfarina
    6) 17321 - second production car (orignally fly yellow with beige interior). Sold to Crepaldi in 1973, the Ferrari dealer in Milan.

Reference was made to Hilary Raab's "Ferrari Serial Numbers - Part 1" book.

    * A question was raised in the article as this SN did not match previously reported SN's in Cavallino, but that does not neccesarily make it wrong.

Flat 12 is the now defunct publication by Cavallino specifically about the Ferrari flat 12.
