Those are 348/355 Challenge wheels. They were sourced from a Challenge team. I have 2 sets...1 for the street and another with a set of slicks for the track. They are so much lighter than stock. They save at least 15 pounds/corner. The turn in is improved, as well as the stick since they are 18s with more rubber. The Challenge whels were a great upgrade for the car's handling performance....it also allowed me to install F40LM front brakes and F50 rears! ...HUGE stopping power!

It doesn't look like Tubi exhaust from the rear within your pics.
Are you sure? Cause I got one in mine.

I am positive! When I was racing the car in the eary 90's...I was sponsored by Tubi when they were first trying to get things going in the US. I think that the tip designed has changed a bit over the years. I like the newer ones...but hey...that's what I got!

The challenge wheels are definitely the only wheels to go. I would love to have the F40 brakes but it's hard to justify the cost on my street driven car. Tubi with straight pipes rock!

Here's mine painted in gun metal black.

I had my original wheels powder coated black. I am getting ready to get a new set of chrome wheels too. Chrome for the summer and black when the roads are not perfect. I thought that would be a cool variance. I am a chiropractor, that is why my screen name is bonedoc. What do you do?

That's awsome! What state are you in? We are in Kansas....no too many Ferraris around here. I wanted a white 348, until I saw yours!

Oh...I see you are in AZ. That is cool. Do you own any other Ferraris at this time? I see that you had/have an F40. I would like an F50 someday. What school did you go to? I went to Cleveland KC. Eveyone in my family is into chiropractic, so we have about 13 clinics here. A relative bought me a book a few weeks ago. It was a weightloss book written by a chiro, and it kind of sounds like you, by reading your profile. Your name is not Ben is it?

Moved the thread to classics, I think it spent enough time in general.

13 clinics...yikes. I started a company called ChiroSport in the 80's and we had 25 around the country....it was a nightmare! My practice is sports injuries and now weight loss/lifestyle...that part of the practice is really taking off....I've just released a book and I have a radio show. I went to Palmer in Iowa.

The F40 was the only car that I have ever missed when it went away. That was a great drivers car! Have fun!!

    Ciao

Maybe I could call it a 'prototype'...then someone like Marcel Macini can write a hugely boring letter to Cavalino...explaining the originality of the car when it raced at the Virginia City Hillclimb on June 12, 1991...or some other such frivolity!

    Ciao

I really wanted to bring the 348 to Monterey this year...but I am doing a track event/car show the last week in August in Aspen (that is such a cool event)...and I don't think that my butt could take a trip to Monterey and then a week later a trip to Aspen. I didn't think $1000 was a fair price to run Laguna Seca for the FCA national, as I am not interested in the dinners or the concours. I was at the FCA national in CO (1990), and the entire event was $400 So I'll have to suffer in my SL55 in Monterey. :)
