I love the look of my 348 and think it looks so much better in person then any pictures can show. I know some people get into changing their 348s into 355 lookalikes and I don't understand why. Like I said the 348 is a damn fine looking car. That said the purists should turn away now because there was one thing I just had to do to the 348. That plastic grill was like a scab on a supermodel's face and had to be fixed. The car is perfect now. :)

I have silver corrugated tin on the ceiling on my shop. It reflects a lot of light for when you are working but looks horrible in the reflection when trying to take pictures of cars. I hate it for that.

I just spent an hour last night with a tiny brush and a Tupperware box putting Armorall on mine.

I had some pictures of the work but deleted them off my camera on accident.

Yes, I had to paint it, The grill was dark blue when I got it from Ferrparts. I still need to buff out the clear a bit. I'm not sure how close 348 and 355 colors are, if you could get one in your car's color and not have to paint.

After paint the swap out is under an hour job. I drilled the pop rivets from the hood cowl ducting and removed it. Then removed the 348 plastic grill.

The 355 does and doesn't bolt right in. On the 348 hood the center mounting hole is the same as the 355 but the outer 2 are not so the out studs do not match up with them and are wide of matching up. The 348 grill has 5 mounting spots through. 2 of which are just bars that sandwich the hood between it and the grill so I used those on the two outside mounts of the 355 grill. I wish I had the pictures still and it would be very clear to see what I'm trying to explain. I bolted it down with the bottom grill in place and pop riveted my cowl ducting back on.
not too complicated at all and I think it makes the hood and the front of the car look so much better getting that plastic off there.

Yep, you need the lower mesh grill to go with it too. I know Russ at Ferrparts has a least one more set in stock he would probably make a good deal on.
