As you guys know I have poked fun at the 360 over the years . However, after this past weekend at The Ferrari French Quarter Classic I am now a 360 lover. While I still prefer a 12 cylinder Ferrari for cruising around on the street, for the track a 360 is AWESOME! They are really fast, handle well and a blast to drift around a tight track. And, they don't sound to bad either; for a v8.

I had my first drive in a 360CS y'day. First time with the F1 set up. After the initial reaction to reach for the gear lever, i quickly got used to paddle shift;). My 355 "feels" like it's going fast when it's going fast but the 360 has such a calm , balanced ride it's very easy to forget just how fast you're going. Oh, and the way the CS shifts and sounds in race mode is just fantastic.
    I know what i'll be asking Santa for 0n 25 December :D.

As you know, I've poked fun at V12s over the years. My 328 is "all that". Took down a 275 GTB CS once at Roebling. Not really. Love to have a V12 someday! Took a ride in these 12s & can say there is no comparison. What?

Actually, I think this thread is more about Frank "V8's aren't real Ferraris" Parker than it is about the 360... so just fine where it is. After all, he's been insulting all us V8 lovers in Vintage, Classic, and Modern for oh-so-many years. ;)

Actually, this thread has been reported for being in the wrong section by one of the users that was the most vocal with his complaints about moving the other thread. Unbelievable. Goes to show that these things are all a matter of personal judgement. Can't please everyone all of the time.

Now take a Dino out and toss it around.... you may find it an enjoyable experience too, even though it's only half a v-12..

That reminds me, I wanted to apologize for blowing your doors off with my "lowly" 328 friday morning going to the track. ;) LOL! ( You remember, it was on the outside of the right hander just at the beginning of the closed off section of I-10. And Carbon was hanging out the side waving at you.) It is good that you have come over to the "Dark Side" :) LOL!

So Frank, when you gonna switch your boxer to 360? Or are you just going to add?

It's manly of you to admit what really is good, hahaha. Too bad you are not saying the same for 355...

He just did in a 360 Dino car

Frank, you need a carbed Boxer or 12, I have driven a 360 and don't understand your elation about a computer Dino car that shifts for you and controls your wheel spin so the new demograhic Ferrari owner doesn't wet his pants if his car get sideways.

Now now boys and girls...I never said I liked the v8 cars "better" than the 12s, I only said I was impreseed with the 360's track performance and would love to own one as a track car. It's funny that after seeing how well the 360 did on the track, I even started liking the way they look too! I still prefer the tradition, sound and torque of a 12 for cruising the street though. And Dave 328, I saw your 328 go by with Carbon hanging out...but, I let you by, you didn't pass me! I was very impressed with my Boxer's performance on the way to the track...I could pull away from the 355 behind me from 100mph up to 150mph when my wife made me lift off the pedal. At the track the 355 owner said he was on the floor and I just slowly pulled away. Not bad for a 22 year old-old tech car. On the track, it was a different story...my Boxer was a hand full on such a tight course. It was all I could do to keep it on the track at all...and my splinter muscle would tighten every time I had to lift a little in a curve...but, I didn't spin her , so I was happy. By the way, the Boxer in the FFQC photos with the euro tag "82 Boxer" is my car.

Frank, The word is "Spincter", a reactionary part of the body resulting from the "pucker factor", usually a result of getting into a situation over one's head.
