very nice. congrats.
The car will be ready for delivery Monday, and unfort will not be the first 430 from WWoC, the guy who had the second car was sooo pissed that he was not going to be first, spent $5,000 of his own to fly the car over from Italy so it could be delivered 2 weeks earlier. Will prob take a run up to Lime Rock on Sat (BMW club has a track event and my brother is tracking his E30). Not sure what others are doing.
Adam, i think that he save up more than two weeks. it takes anywhere from 4-5 weeks from the shipping date for delivery meanwhile he would have it in less than two days. to ship it air just to be the first car is insane but wanting to enjoy it sooner that's a different story.
Hey I saw your 430 at WWoC today! Also saw WWoC's First 430 last Thursday. (Don't ask why I'm spending so much time at WWoC lately... Justin even joked today that they should put me to work. On second thought, maybe it wasn't a joke...) Finally, there was another 430 there today as well, bringing the total so far to three: one silver F1, one titanium 6 spd, and one red 6 spd.
hey HeY. If I had a Porsche in addition to my Ferrari, I'd still have to spend just as much time at Wide World. If on the other hand I had a Porsche instead of a Ferrari, well, then I'd just have so much time on my hands, since I wouldn't waste all my time driving. I'd probably have just moved to Argentina and built a winery by now.
Seriously, I've had a couple things that I actually wanted to get done there (clutch replacement, hmm..., um, okay, just one) but what's kept me going back was just how darn charming Justin, Kevin, and Jim have been. Alright, seriously, there have been some pesky problems with the Air Conditioning, but this time we're 99.99999999% sure we've got them fixed. I also had some issues with the CD player, but I think those have been taken care of as well. And in all serious honesty, those guys at Wide World have been very, very good to me. From the time and quality of effort Jim's put forth on finding the A/C problem to the good breaks Justin has cut me when it comes time to figure out an invoice. They've been like no other Ferrari dealer I've ever seen.
The cars look great. Do you know when your father got on the list to get the F430? Curious how much patience it takes .
You could wait for 3 plus years. He was on the list for a 360 Spyder, he swapped the position for the F430, and since the first batch of cars were primarily manuals, he was able to get the first slot at WWoC.
Saw one at the Robert Moses Boat Basin last Sunday, it sounded great. Should be fun for your dad Adam. Enjoy!
Here are some pictures from today at Lime Rock in the new car. It is just a blast to drive. It is a great improvement over the 360. I have a small Video that is just a bit too large, that I would like to post so you can hear the exhaust which sounds great. Anyone that can help, let me know. Were you guys near 25A and Northern Blvd (Glen Cove/Hicksville) on Saturday? I saw a 430 is the same color going on Northern I believe. Figured it might have been you guys.
