037 and 575 have the same splined FWD hubs, I suspect it's a question of the load rating. I'm not sure that I'd be using a Chinese replacement - you don't want to be losing a wheel at 200+ in a 456. However there are a number of quality suppliers of Euro OEM hubs and I'd be amazed if the same part isn't used on other cars. Google is your friend...
I've been scouring google, but I think I'll have to go via the measurement route like Graeme said. In the meantime, I've found a good 2nd hand one to get me out of trouble for the weekend. I'll remove the drivers side tomorrow and repack it then replace the damaged one.
That took less than a minute to find, I am sure that euro suppliers have very similar catalogues like eg skf.
Yes. It's true. I'm a magician. The cabe that controlled the seat back release/automatic forward movement had broken (or so I thought), so today I removed the seat as I was going to give it a thorough clean in preparation for next weeks cavalcade, and in the process decided to see what the actual fault was. As it turns out, the cable wasn't broken. If anyone is familiar with bikes, you will know about the cable locking drums that are used. Well the 456 has a similar method to attach the cable to the actuator cam. It had just come off. Of course, I couldn't refit the cable as it was frayed, so I replace the inner with a new cable, from my bicycle spare parts trove. Voila!
