Considering they are NLA, it was the only option. At least I now have a spare that I will have repaired by Otto Instruments.
We have a power steering pump rebuilder nearby, so I'll get him to rebuild it. It's a ZF pump, so rebuild kits shouldnt be a problem.
I love dealing with like minded tradesmen. Rebuilt and ready to go. Dennis Frawley in Clontarf is one of the most experienced and best in the business. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Did I mention the new Bosch fuel pumps, transmission mounts, full set of silicon hoses and fuel pump assy cover (machined from billet aluminum) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mate you will have the most roadworthy 456 ever if you keep this up Is there anything that's NOT new on your car ?
Well.... The car is going to a colleague of Horse's for the roof lining to be fixed and another colleague to redo the leather. It's like the neverending story.
To be honest mate, I'd like to take the 456 because it's just so bloody comfortable while also being bloody fast. But alas, Jodi won't let me take it. So I'm taking the 430.....with it's new suspension bushes and F1 actuator. lucky I love Ferrari. If I had any sense, I'd buy a Porsche.
Weird looking pumps Gizzi how the heck do they go in the tanks Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Hose clamps are acid modified PH neutral clamps. Expensive, but necessary. The fuel hoses are from the states and used in aircraft fuel systems. The pumps are friction modified high pressure pumps - Genuine Bosch. Also expensive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Soo they sit at 45% in the tank ? Mine are I imagine like your 430 pumps but I can’t work out how these sit in the system bit of a puzzle Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Could be this badapparently dragged out of a 456 but look nothing like yours Gizzi Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Those are the same pump assy’s Adrian. The black stuff all over them is the remnants of the rubber mounting/dampening sleeve, used to hold the pumps in place inside the canisters. The pumps sit upright inside the tank. The assy’s go in from the back face of the tank, not the top, if you get the picture. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
