Image Unavailable, Please Login Tell me the side view of my 458 Spider isn't beautiful...it is pure Pininfarina exotic elegance. No scoops, wings, doodads, holes, vents, and other fake useless aero garbage. And far too fast for public roads....
it is a supremely well executed targa/convertible. best one as far as usability that ferrari ever made. so much better than the tops on even 430's. lovely.
The 488 is growing on me, and there was a time I thought the 360 killed the aesthetic. I think Ferrari has shown appropriate restraint in its designs while still embracing evolving standards and demands from consumers.
Probably not right place but none of these cars mentioned (246 Dino possible exception) could really be called beautiful. "We" are all using some pretty shallow yardsticks to define "beauty". There are probably no more than 20 truly beautiful cars ever built. And some-not all would include 1938 BUGATTI TYPE 57SC AUBURN 851 SC Boattail Speedster Talbot Lago T-150C SS Goutte d'Eau Figoni & Falaschi Delahaye 135 MS 'Narval' Aston Martin DB4 Zagato BMW 507 Ferrari 250 GTO And after the end of the 60's I am not sure what car I would add. Overall-the most beautiful cars are a product of the 1930's.
The definition of what someone determines to be beautiful is as individual as their common sense and ethics...then you add the attributes of age, social and economic status, where “home” is and other influences (friends, local branding and marketing...) and the variations of a list of beautiful automobiles would be impossible to count. That being said, you do have a very nice list of beautiful cars here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The most beautiful car I've seen in person is the 1938 Alfa 2900B MM at the Simeone Museum. Stunning. More recent cars that come to mind include a blue on tan 300SL Gullwing with blue wheels, black on red Jag XJ120 with white wall tires, and a black on red BMW 507.
not a terrible list but starting to looked dated. i think great gatsby on nearly all of them. i'm sure 40 years from now we'll all wax nostalgia about how the cars from the 2010s' were the most beautiful
It’s interesting that you’re not a fan of intakes, yet thought the 430 improved upon the 360. I always thought the 430s over emphasized intakes set the cars styling back. I do like the 430s appropriate sized headlights though
Agree with the F12, looks beautiful even in pictures. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/2015-ferrari-f12-blu-pozzi-ferrari-of-houston.570193/#post-145837295 . Image Unavailable, Please Login
I honestly prefer the looks of the 599 over the F12. I don't get the front fender airflow "bridge" as opposed to the rear buttresses on the 599 which IMO add a simple and creative touch. The single simple headlights on the 599 will age better IMO than the long led ones on the 458 and never Ferraris. In 20 years people will ask "What were they thinking ?".
I don’t argue about opinions however I do enjoy reading them! My opinion, so therefore not arguable <g>, I am not a fan of front engine Ferraris. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
In my opinion I love my 458 Speciale A and I love my 488 Spider 812 on its way and I will love that as well. I just Love Ferrari’s and am not going to degrade any models at all. They are all beautiful Thanks for listening
Sorry, but very visually unbalanced, looks like two different cars grafted together. Something about the ratio of wheelbase to wheel size and length and height of the car is breaking some sort of math rule in terms of what makes for pleasing asthetics. The door handle is in a weird spot, looks like a blemish. The intakes look like office garbage bins, the rear end is, well no comment. I like the stripes. I know we all want Ferrari to be beautiful, but the current transformers/video game direction is a dead end. Its not just Ferrari, Maclaren and even Lambo are all missing the point of these cars, they are just not beautiful. The interiors are also way too busy with a mishmash of shapes and textures. There is elegance in simplicity. There is a great opportunity for someone at Ferrari to set a new direction.
I had my 2015 458 Spider delivered in May 2015. The last year it was made! I had it fully wrapped because I had a hunch I may just hold it forever. When the 488 came out I was so glad I had made the decision to buy the 458. I prefer the cleaner lines of the 458 and the absolutely amazing sound. The engine is money! I might consider trading it in if the version after the 488 is absolutely gorgeous and has doors like the La Ferrari. But the 458 is likely going to be a keeper. It's simply a Ferrari classic and enjoyable to drive anywhere. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow bold interior - a brave choose on dash and tunnel, love the seats! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes, didn't want to go with the traditional style (all tan or black). I had a 355 Spider with all tan interior and wanted this one to match the red outside and be more sporty/aggressive. This was actually all an option on the online configurator. It was the dual leather / alcantara option and I wanted the split dash like many on the La Ferrari. The tunnel may have gone too far but it highlights the controls. My only regret is maybe the red should have been leather. Not sure. But it is original and almost everyone seems to like it. Side doors and dash are my favorite. Image Unavailable, Please Login
