The 599 GTB Fiorano...

Ferrari's Owners site calls the car 599 GTB Fiorano

 

I ve heard it has 0-60: 3.7sec and top speed 337km/h
is that true??
Damn nearly faster than CGT if it is true

 

Interesting thoughts on the color. To me I think this car looks good in many more colors than Maranello. 550/575 looked too big in red, and especially yellow. TDF was nice. Black is the best.

In the 599 I can see other colors working. I already have a black car and that is a full time yob.

But until I see one in the flesh then black is the plan.

 

That was 0-100 km/h in 3.7 sec .

First time I've seen this image - from the owners site. I added the second pic for comparison. Before and after. The design makes a lot of sense. A mix of old and new.

Still.. looking at 3.8 / 3.9 lol. A big time. Interestingly it might be time to stop accusing Ferrari of enthusiastic figures. "Road and Track" gave the 430 a 3.5 to 100km. Much faster than the factory figures. Perhaps this new car could crack 62mph in CGT territory.

 

Beat me to it, 0-60 MPH should be 3.6 seconds....




What is 337 KPH in MPH, 200 what MPH?

 

I noticed that as well, it seems to be a last minute change. I say that because the cars at the release party didn't say "Fiorano" on them. Guess it will be added to the actual production cars....

Carbon, I think that vintage car in his post is of a 195 Inter, bodied by Ghia. So I have the same question as you, what does that have to do with the 599GTB Fiorano?

 

I celebrate the fact of the car having a name FIORANO instead of a cold number reference.

BTW I can't understand the usual bashers complaining about Fiorano being ugly
IMHO is a true italian artsy Pininfarina gorgeous design.

P.S. no more Rosso Corsa as it's became boring specially in this Maranello replacement

It is 209.5 mph=337km/h

1mph=1.60963km/h

 

Yes i noticed that also for 0-60 Car&Driver get 3.5 sec
Also quatroruote tested 0-62 at 3.5sec
And also Auto Zeitung get a 3.8 sec for 0-62mph for 430
I dont know in what conditions these times get but i know they are true.
Maybe they get it in LC mod's.
I dont know the factory values are established in what condition... RACE or SPORT or CST off with a LC.
But i guess that the factory values are not established in LC values, but not sure...

Since the car seems to be optimised for road used compared to track use for Maserati/Enzo, it makes sense that it reaches a very high top speed.
