    I just got off the phone to schedule a service and asked about the 600 Imola. I was told it is only a mule and will not be produced.

    On a better note, I am number three on the 612 list........ perhaps by Christmas......

    is the 600 Imola the one that has been posted in spy pics and looks like a 612 derivitive?


    anyway, the 612 is awsome, i love that car. are u getting it in 6 speed or F1?

    Imola: Yes it (the mule) is the one in the pics.

    612: It'll be an F1. I like the "launch" color scheme: rosso fiorano/tan. With that color scheme, I'll probably not color the calipers. I've not seen a picture with shields but I think they'll look nice on the car.

    Funny, my Feb deposit went from 575M to spider replacement (? year) to 612.

    According to the official factory brochure they are available as an option on the 612 Scaglietti.

    Inside the latest issue of Forza (August 2004) shows a 612 Scaglietti with the shields.

    Anyone catch the new Road & Track with a pic of the 600 Imola? Test mule or prototype of what to expect? R&T says it will likely be the replacement for the 575 with 580 to 600 hp. Also, rumor of roadster in 2007 or 2008. Front looks similar to the 612.

    No I think you're confused. "Imola" in Italian means "Test Mule". "Granola" is Italian for "Mean Mule". The car will actually be called "Granola Imola" which would translate into "Mean Test Mule." Look for the first cars to be on the floor at Murphy's Mule Barn. Their toll free number is 800-HEAD-A**. Ask for Murphy.

    Road & track reported the 600 Imola will be the 575 replacement.

    Road & Track also reported fake photoshopped 430 images just a week before the private showing and first real photos, and as we all know -- they were wrong about a lot of stuff, mostly the front grille.

    Point is they tend to be wrong about lots of stuff. I wouldn't buy a thing they say and trust the people close to the company much more. We'll never know for sure until something happens, but an examination of Ferrari's model history says it is *highly* unlikely that they would release a car that looks almost identical to another one in their model lineup...all you have to do is use your head to figure this is more than likely another case of a publication looking for something to print without any facts.

    Seriously here Frank, that's the way to go on that combo. If you're not convinced, get me a side pic of that RF/tan and I'll PShop gold calipers in for you. If you don't like it, return the pic within 30 days for a full refund.
