I thought it would be fun to start an even more obscure club than the 348 club...so here it goes! The 1977 308 GTB club! You must have a 77!! No other years trying to sneak in!! Post your chassis number and maybe a few words, as well as a pic! OK people, who are we?

    I'll start:

    #22393 Red/black

16" QV wheels on order! I can hardly wait!

BAH! Your club sux, your cars are all old and don't let any sunlight in! :D

I'm gonna start the Magnum club! Our car's will all look like Magnum, PI's and you KNOW we all have to use the Magnums to get... well, you know! LOL
Oh, and you have to have a Magnum, PI shirt and Tigers baseball cap to wear while driving...

You know, as a matter of fact, I declare a thread hijacking!
Everyone that has a Magnum lookalike car (That would be any red 308/328 GTS; nobody can tell the difference!) post in here! We're gonna overrun these guys! God knows we should out number them... ;)

Birdman, you'll have to search out pics mine, as I have expended my photo budget.

#22127 is the yellow Art Car
#22641 is the blue one we drove to the FFQC

That's not the only budget I've blown in 2004! LOL!

    Is that Terry's old car?

Greg, what's with the black modling down the side of your car? It sticks out, everyone else's goes "in" so to speak...

    Nice catch!

    But, the carreaper's
    1977 308 GTB
    november 1976 build date
    chasis no *20433*
    steel body, not fiberglass.

Does as well. At least in the pics it looks like it does. I'm assuming this is a door guard of some sort but I've never heard of something like this coming from the factory.

Do you guys have any paperwork on your cars that might shed some light on this?

It's an aftermarket mod by the previous owner.

    More protective, but not OEM............

Sean F. let me know when you want a quote on your repair. I need to check on my guy down South. It's only a six pack drive, down and back!

    YOU'RE the designated driver! LOL!

i was told that the car came with the moulding from the dealer. i spoke with the mechanic that did the new car inspection when it was sold new about some other things and he said its always had it, and it was replaced when the car was repainted in the 90's. he is now at Bevery Hills Ferrari.

even if it was added later i really like it as it protects the body somewhat from idiots and car doors. i was going to ask about this in a thread when i got around to it, its cool that you guys noticed it. i would like to know if the moulding did actually come on the cars or not. i have seen a fiberglass 76 with it also that was supposed to be all original. :) cheers

edit: oh yea, with all the crap i dug out of the trunk, was a roll of this stuff that looks pretty old. there were spare belts, spart plugs ect and some of this rubber moulding still in the wrap.i will look and see if it has any useful part numbers on it if anyone cares.

It's something the original dealer could charge you extra for!

Kind of a modern forerunner of "appearance protection" policies! LOL!

I didn't notice it on your car........it's just on your doors.

Greg328's runs from stem to stern so it's a little more noticable.
