The Alberta Thread!

Last little while, there hasn't been anything truly special. I did see a bunch of 993-generation 911 Turbos running around, a last-gen (Z3-style) M coupe (which I adore). One of my fellow employees did a carry-out of some groceries to a dark blue 996 911 Turbo. It has a dealer plate from Auto Maxx (?). Also, last night I saw a BMW M5 in white (which looked gorgeous) and a BMW M6 Cabriolet in dark red.

 

On Friday I saw the same silver 360 Modena on Centre St DT. There was a Testarosa parked in front of Tunerworks on Saturday.

 

I've been seeing alot of BMW M5's and even M6's around Calgary lately. It's nice to see more nice cars on the streets now that the weather is better.

 

Nice 997 Turbo at the 37th street SW Safeway earlier this afternoon.

 

From sunny and +15 to snowy and -5 in 12 hours. Welcome to Calgary!

 

It's been nice here today too! Felt like +15. Spring is coming I hope!

 

You guys in LaLa land with +15, jeez; we woke up to snow again up here in the hills

 

It went from +15 Monday morning to -5 and snowing in the evening. Woke up Tuesday morning to 10+ cms of snow!

I have some pictures from the Edmonton Auto Show, I just have yet to load them off my camera. I'll have more from the Calgary Auto Show this week.

Saw an Audi A8L W12 on 9th Ave. Nice looking car, had to read up on the W12, very cool. Are there many of these around town?

Went down to the Calgary auto show today.......the only cars of note that did anything for me were the Ford GT in the orange and Gulf blue "Heritage" paint scheme, absolutely yummy........the Arancio Atlas Murci roadster with matching leather was too much.........I loved the exterior color, but prefer my interiors total black........and that's it !!! It was a pretty lame show overall, but I am jaded, having worked over 15 of them...............

Met up with an old bud, ex F1 and LeMans driver Alan Berg who is running his own racing school here in Calgary now.

 

I met him at Race City a few summers ago, that'd be cool to go attend his driving school...

Going on Friday, will have some pics after that...

 

Here are some photos I took at the Calgary auto-show. I was surprised to see the Mercedes SLR, and the fact that there are now 4 in Calgary (One of the Mercedes sale men told me). The Ferrari is probably the same one seen drving on Centre Street and around Downtown since I was told that it was owned by a local.

Ferrari888, what kind of camera are you using? just a normal point and shoot? That Gallardo Spider...drool

 

I'm using an old film SLR, 10-15 years old (it belonged to my dad) I hope on upgrading to a DSLR soon.

Wow, but I wonder what a C-GT would look like in guards red..my favourite color on any porsche. I dont really like that phantom, but its a pretty nice car.
