Related to this - great news! Our fickle City Council reversed their decision from earlier this year and voted to extend the Race City lease for another 5 years!

 

This is only the first step of what could be many more to come. There are many other hurdles to deal with, currently the key issues are:

Renegotiation of the lease
Reclamation of the land prior to being returned to the city

Today the MD turned down the proposed kart track near Irricana. The positive that came out of the vote was that council felt the kart group was very professional, well organized and did serve a need for the racing community. Council felt that the proposed site was just not suitable and encouraged the kart group to come forth with an alternate site.

 

Does anyone know if the Spyker dealer has sold any cars yet?
