I think it may have been an SL600 with those pieces. I know the owner and with the RennTech pieces, it eats 65s!
This one? http://supercarfreak.net/gallery/albums/album1294/Image00013.jpg It has the V12-Biturbo badges on it, why would he do that if it's only a 600?
Maybe they do, but i've never seen under that hood. To me, it's like slapping a Type R on your standard civic. Even if it has the engine...It's just silly.
That picture that Sheldon posted was of a Highline modified SL600 from the import tuner car show. My car is in the background, and as such I had to attend. The Highline guys were pretty nice. From what I recall, SL600s, stock, are V12 twin-turbos, not bi-turbos. Small differentiation, but important nonetheless.
I think in twin turbo setup, turbochargers are the same, size and performance wise. But Biturbo has different Turbchargers, one is bigger than the other.
I thought the smaller one was for the lower rev's..giving performance and allowing the larger one to spool up for the higher revs..I swear I saw this on motor week..but it may have been a differant car/turbo set up.
Spotted a Gallardo while in Mission for lunch today. This one has grey calipers, so there are two of them in the area! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I guess I was confusing in my original comment. The point I was trying to make was this: Sheldon stated that the vehicle had V12-Biturbo badges on it, and questioned why the owner would do that if it's only a 600? My response was meant to indicate that SL600s already come with twin or bi-turbos, stock. Thus, rebadging it as a V12-Biturbo was a bit goofy, since that's what the car originally comes with. As an aside, I'm aware of the differences (and confusion) surrounding the nomenclature for biturbos, twin-turbos, sequential, two-stage, hyper-bar, etc. I believe there are differences in naming convention also in Euro versus US. However, my initial comment wasn't directed at these issues. For clarification though, the setup you are describing sounds like a sequential biturbo.
That's the one... Yesterday, couldn't make it to my computer. But I saw 2 M6s... First one was black with silver Hamann rims on it... downtown by the Nexen building. Second was red and had the (wonderful) default M6 rims on it. It was exiting the Petro Canada station on 14th ave and Kensington Rd. Nice noise!
