When I was a young lad my father had been financially able to buy /trade many used Ferraris with Luigi Chinetti up in Greenwich , Ct. I would ride with my dad from Long Island to Mr Chinettis many times over the years. When I finally got my license dad brought home an ASA from Mr Chinettis for me. Told me it’s was a baby Ferrari . I finally went off to school and the car was sold. Does anyone remember driving these ? Do any still survive .? I think I have a photo in the basement somewhere of mine with a surfboard on the roof
Here you go: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASA_(automobile) Very sexy little car,one came up for sale/auction in the past 12 months...rare as rockin' horse poo though.
The ASA was an amazing car. The chassis was an exact scaled down version of the 250 GTO. Unfortunately, it was some what underpowered. I restored my ASA years ago, and showed it at Pebble Beach Concours. It was also the only car with 13" Borrani wire wheels! It now resides in a museum in Japan. Gary Bobileff
There is one ASA spyder in AZ (possibly the only one). Fun little car and great for the smaller cities with hills. *the open highways and heat in AZ are not enjoyable during the summer.
