There was a shower today but that was a big crowd in. Test cricket is one of the greatest sports to view live, even better than Bathurst.
You can always come down to my place an watch the cricket ........ we have television now, got it straight after the electricity was connected Give me a call you bastard !!
It’s a bloody long way down there from here! Takes almost as long to drive to where you are than it takes to fly here from Adelaide! (Not to mention there’s cricket on the telly, I’m reclining on dads couch, and contemplating whether I should open my first beer...) Having said that I guess I could make the trip to say hello and pick up my freshly cleaned wheels....
Yeah right We should all go to the cricket on Sunday ? Gezim can pay for us all, he's rich , Steve and I can only afford 355s
Well, after all my usual bagging of Brisbane, it seems the first two days of the Adelaide Test will be affected by rain. After a scorching 39deg today, the forecast for the weekend is wet and cool. Damn.
Don’t know how things have been in Melbourne / Sydney etc. but it seems here at least the predictions of catastrophic weather and all round chaos have been wildly exaggerated (hmmmm.... sounds familiar). So the good news is I expect the Test to be barely affected by rain. We had a total of around 13mm overnight, and so far nothing at all today. There is a rain band about to go through here soon which I reckon will produce no more than a couple of mm, and then I expect tomorrow to be pretty dry, and conditions to slowly get better throughout the Test. Unfortunately it’ll be cold, windy and cloudy, which will suit the English seamers very well. And I consider it a terrible mistake by the selectors not to include Sayers in the side. He knows these conditions and this oval better than anyone and his record here is superb.
I’m happy for Cummins to play, but we should have swapped out Hazlewood for Sayers. Being a weather girl is my big back up plan if I ever fail a medical....
Absolutely cracking Test so far, as usual in Adelaide. 50/50 proposition tomorrow, after our atrocious batting in the second dig, and a pretty decent fight back by the Poms. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It was also nice to see Ian has arrived in Adelaide and decided to take in some cricket before next weekend. Image Unavailable, Please Login
