There are two things of note about Koh Samui (a cesspit of sleaze) and neither are good for a middle aged heart. First is cheap and readily available cocaine. Second is cheap and readily available young women.

Thought the same .. I rang my sister as she knew SW and her husband umpired him in district cricket ...She said similar .
What a shock after yesterdays news He's often remembered for his "ball of the century" but I love this one to Straus.
It's not the Ashes but the Paki's are makin' it hard yakka for the Aussie's: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-03-05/australia-v-pakistan-first-test-day-two-live-blog/100885562
The King of Spin with an amazing cricketing brain..He would have been one of Australias best captains if the mobile phone hadn’t been invented…
His off field behaviour stopped that which was a shame - those time he filled in the one day side were brilliant. Of course if he had only used sandpaper instead of rooting he would have made it!
I didn't get to experience either of those when I was there in 1997. We had a great time in fact. Even left the resort and hired a little Suzuki 4wd for a few day trips. [emoji56]
A shame. When I went to live in London in 1994, I spent a week on Koh Samui to break up the trip, living in a little grass hut on the beach. It was paradise - not very developed, and lots of family-run little places to stay. I was living like a king for $20 a day. There were an awful lot of Germans there, however, some very obnoxious, so I guess it was being "discovered".
Yes I remember being in Bangkok in 1997. There sure were a lot of Germans there at the time, including couples. I couldn't help but think it was all very sordid and pretty ordinary.
Great stuff, still hard to believe he's gone https://www.news.com.au/sport/cricket/touching-shane-warne-gesture-brings-lords-to-its-feet-melts-cricket-worlds-hearts/news-story/037354f3094327beef53a8b56303c944
