For me, I really don’t care about sport so whatever they do is inconsequential in the greater scheme of things. Much like the NRL players, constantly misbehaving but basically irrelevant tools

What does work harder mean? Manual labour? Put their house on the line to start a business? Put in the hard yards learning a trade or profession before they start making money?

Most people I know whom complain about their financial status have made dumb decisions and not made any sacrifices early on.

    I hate Socialists

    My feelings as well.

The educated socialists always looking for the kill always looking for the handouts . The free ride in life!

Ask a socialist should they should cross the desert they will reply with if and buts and never do it.

Ask the entrepreneur and yes they will try with a cask of water, they might fail, but they tried.

    I hate bludgers

Feel sorry for poor bastards that do hard manual labour through no fault of their own morning, noon and night for a pittance with little chance of making anything of themselves

This country is great for making something of yourself if you want to.

You can get anything if you really want to

A conscious decision to cheat in sport requires exactly the same mental gymnastics to justify as a conscious decision to ignore any other rule in life.

In fact it could easily be argued that breaking a rule in sport (a game, after all) is less of a big deal than breaking a law.

When you consciously choose to do, say, 150kmh in a 100 zone and get caught should you never be allowed behind the wheel of a car again?
After all, it wasn’t an accident.

Or should you be allowed to pay your fine, do your time, and then get another chance to show you’ve learned your lesson?

I see more than a little hypocrisy in some of these comments.
