Looks like a Porsche 993 Turbo.

 

I think so, the only Porsche I would ever own...............if it were given to me.

Yes, the last rights owner had the plate for over 30 years.
In fact the three owners since the plate was first issued in the early 1900's all had the plate for over 30 years apparently. The very low numbered plates tend to stay in the family from generation to generation. Getting a single digit is just about impossible now.

VIC 27 was on the 993 Turbo until last friday.

 

Easily; but that is generally the case with the low 2 digits.

 

I bet.

I can see this plate NEVER leaving this family now.

Amazing this one has only had 3 owners in over 100 years.

 

And I know just the place to put it

Well that is certainly the intention; but it will be up to my boys in the end. Hopefully I'll get to own them for 30 years first

 

Actually, it is pretty easy as a matter of fact.

Just cut some poor bastard off.

The single digit will be forthcoming.

A mate has the following Victorian Registration number rights for sale:

348 C

355 C

993 C

968 C

968 V

These are Victorian 150 years commemorative plates first issued in about 1983.

Also available:

Historically significant Victorian 4 digit Heritage Number Rights first issued in or about 1910 being the first year of of motor vehicle registrations in Victoria and reissued in 1988 by tender.

NOTE:

These Heritage Registration Numbers rights are subject to contract rights for the
permanent and exclusive rights to display the respective registration number.

Contract Rights confer an owner with rights which exceed the rights conferred
under the Act in respect of the current issue of Heritage Plates by Vic Roads.

Contracts Rights have not been issued by Vic Roads since the early 2000s.

The following plates are therefore a more secure investment than current issues from Vic Roads.


1861 - First Year of Melbourne Cup

1892 - Year of formation of Collingwood Football Club

Sorry,personal plates are a pet hate of mine.

The only plate I personalised('coz it was the only way I could keep the original numbers/letters when bought new),is the Triumph I put up on miscellaneou thread.
