"7" on a Mercedes Benz A-class today, along Brighton Rd. How much exactly would a plate like that be worth?

Any idea why itd be on some budget Benz being so valuable? Are they basically just inherited through family etc?

I saw 60-something on an old school Volvo 760 aswell, no doubt worth a lot more than the car aswell.

I would install a good 4 or 6 point harness. If you cinch it tight, it will hold you in the seat much better and of course give you much more protection in an accident. You just have to find a way to install the shoulder belt bolts without messing up your trim.

You can even get some donkeys stitched onto the belts! :D

Saw [969] on a black 997 Carrera cab today, not sure if it has any significance to the Porsche lineage. I wonder how much 911, 959, 996 or 997 would go for these days..

I agree, quite a bit more. There wasn't a quoted range last time I looked; but someone told me today that the shannon's price estimate was way low.

A while back I reported seeing what looked like a version of an historic SA plate on a BMW - "3". Today I saw the car again and I guess the guy had a visit from the law. It now reads "SA 3" - a custom plate that any idiot could buy.

i can't believe the # of bmws i'm seeing lately without M badges... was there something on big brother recently that made all these 3-series owners finally realise it was a daft thing to do? :p
