Has anyone had work done by Massimo Mondino at The Auto Legend Inc.? I met him for the first time yesterday and he seemed very sincere. He also recommened a car for me to buy from one of his customers. That being a 1985 GTS QV for $42000. He has worked on the car since 1993. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Bill

That better be the best 308QV every with no miles, no wait...negative miles. For that money you should consider buying an original 308 Glass car.

never heard of Auto Legend. Where are they located?

Then, if Mark knows the guy I would assume he is west coast Tampa area or Orlando area. The good news is, if it comes recommended from Mark you have an excellent referral :)

He seems to know his stuff... I had him check out my Countach before...
I also met another of his customers (one with a 308) who raved about him and another
who he rebuilt a Japla engine for (who is Very pleased with it). He did tell me that there is only
one way to do things and that is the "right way", which all I can say is he said this with some
    sense of conviction.

That is kind of on the high end for an 85 QV as far as I know. The lower priced 85 QV's are in the $33k range, so you are paying maybe a $9k premium. That is not a huge dollar amount if the car is really stellar, but is a large percentage as a premium. Sounds like all voices are in agreement that Massimo is a top notch guy. Good luck with the decision. At least you would be saving the $1500 or so in shipping!
    :)

We are running the car on jackstands in reverse to get negative miles as we speak( as seen in Ferris Bueller).

Thanks for the compliment Martin, checks in the mail !
