Forty grand is definitely wrong, but four sounds too cheap. My 1974 Boxer was bought for £16,476. A quadrupling of cost in 6 years (this would have been 1968) is unrealistic. I think the price should have been around £10k - £12k.

I realize I am rather late replying to this... but I wonder if there is some confusion here? John Lennon's 330 GT was blue and I'm not aware he owned more than one Ferrari (which isn't to say definitively that he didn't). George Harrison's 275 GTB was green, though, so perhaps some Beatle transposition?

I thought George's GTB was black.

John Lennon owned a Alfa 2600 Sprint Bertone for many years. The car is under restoration in the USA.

Definitely green (PINO VERDE 106.G.30) with Black VM8500.

    Still with the family apparently.

I'd read somewhere, long ago, that Clapton owns/owned the last 14-louver TdF?

40 years ago the Beatles did their last live performance, an impromptu performance on the roof of a building in London..."Get back"... One of the group arrived in a red Lamborghini 350GT as seen in old TV footage, any ideas who?

No, Jack, it was on the roof of their Apple records building.

It is absolutely confirmed to be Clapton. He played a famous Cherry Les Paul that he donated to George Harrison.

I have changed the link in the above quote to a working one. It has the Mclaren in it, as stated, at just after the 2.38 mark, but is there another vidclip of him and 2 other Beatles in the car outside George's house? Does anyone know which song it's before / after?

Good to hear. George's son would be an idiot to give up that car, whatever the color.

Hope he's kept George's collection out of the garage and on the road .
