My wife found five old mugs and bought them for me. Nice! All different brands.

I threw this one in the freezer and enjoyed a Lowenbrau in it tonight:

As promised here's the verdict on the Moinette Brune.
TASTY! Nice amber color (clear to partly cloudy), light amber head, great hop/yeast/grain nose and flavor. Medium bodied with a nice hop bite balanced with yeast and grain and a crispy finish. Just what you would want from a bottle finished belgian brune.

Amstel Light last night to help console the Dutch/Holland/The Netherlands/WhateverThey'reCalled for their World Cup loss.

Actually was going to get something Spanish to celebrate the winner but didn't find anything so went the other way.

Sitting here watching Pawn Stars and drinking one of the 2 Abita Harvet Wit's I have left from the weekend.

Its okay, nothing to rave about. Leaves me feeling a little funny in my throat. Not sure what that's about.

Had some Jolly Pumpkin Luciernaga "The Firefly" last night. Very good stuff and sour (Grand Cru style) but not over the top. A must try for Belgium beer / Belgium style beer lovers.

I just tried a White Hawk IPA last night. picked it up from Jensen's. Not the best IPA I've had, but a very good beer. Had never seen it prior to last night.

Took a tour of the Coors brewery in Golden recently, I have to say, there's something special about that freshly brewed Rocky Mountain taste. Wonderfully refreshing on a 90F day.

    ...must've been that just-thawed-mammoth-urine in there. =)

Friday night I watched "Brewing" on the History channel:

There was a blurb about The London Beer Flood of 1814:

I've been wondering about "Local". I see it everytime I go to Spec's.

So Drifter isn't worth it huh? Is it just weak? I'm not a fan of Windmer.

Yes, the Local was so very good, you must try it.

The Drifter, on the other hand, tasted like it was brewed with water rich in chemicals and a high chlorine content. You know, like hard water.

I almost bought the Local yesterday, but wanted to wait until another time. So I picked up a 6er of Magic Hat Summer Seasonal (something like that).

Watered down crap. I forgot that I didn't like Magic Hat, and now I remember why. Don't ever buy it, expensive flavored water.

    tonite's choice: Sierra Nevada Kellerweis

an interesting Hefeweizen, fruity but not particularly hoppy (which a Hefe shouldn't be). Has a bit of a pumpkin taste to it.

Had some New Holland Full Circle yesterday. Pretty good. It was the perfect day (hot and humid) for a nice cold, clean, crisp Kolsch.

I feel the same, it's okay.

Tried something new again. Green Flash Brewing Co. - Hop Head Red.

Pretty good. I recommend giving their products a try.

Tempting... but too bad we have the green bottle variant instead. I tried it twice and both times it was skunked.
