Ok , i have : Norton Antivirus, Ad aware Se, Search And Destroy , Spyware blaster , Ewido security suite and the Ms Antispyware.

And yet, my pc has pop ups ads , startup page changed everynow and then , and those annoying fake "security" pop ups .
I also have trojans detected quite often .

I do update all those softs but i still get infected.

    What can i do ?

Wait for Randy Schatten to reply before you do anything, or just PM him directly... Randy helped me IMMENSELY with my last computer and this one is squeaky clean (so far as i know)... i never had a problem with any of that stuff and i don't even run any kind of SpyWare or Ad Aware programs anymore... Randy will show you the light... :)

You can fix it with a Macintosh. :)

Randy should have some excellent input.

    Additional Note:
Crap Cleaner - freeware the cleans up misc "crap" in your registry and files left behind by software. I found this link last week, on a site I frequent (CastleCops.com) installed it, ran it on a Windows 2000 platform, I was very impressed of the results.

Spy Bot, Zone Alarm Pro, and Norton. All my computers are clean as a girl before senior prom.

Mac is always safe. That is because no one who uses a Mac is bright enought to create viruses and what not.

If you are having problems, reboot in safe mode and scan for
spyware using all anti-spyware software you have. No single
    product will catch everything.

Add spywall to your list. Very small and does not eat up any resources.
I use it and spybot and have no spyware problems.

Perfect. The only thing I would really push you to is to get a firewall. I have used zone alarm pro for years. Best one I have found.

You could also try Sygate's personal one for non-business use, see:- http://smb.sygate.com/products/spf_standard.htm

Try the Scan Online feature of bitdefender.com, and the online scanners available at housecall.trendmicro.com. I highly recommend a firewall, and you could also try downloading the 15-day free trial of Sunbelt software's Counterspy (off of download.com), which is very similar to Microsoft Antispyware, but can garner better results. Also try the trial version of Spy Sweeper. You have a very similar setup to my own, so the only other suggestions I have are after you clean out your PC, make sure its updated completely on update.microsoft.com, and get that Zonealarm firewall (its free!).

    Don't get a Mac.
Don't you want to use your computer? :D

On a more serious note, am I the only one finding it really really stupid that computer technies are helping folks more with Spyware these days than anything else?

'Ricky, this porn site took over my internet.'
'Ricky, my computer keeps telling me I won something.'
'Ricky, all these ads keep popping up.'

With all the car foums I visit, and however much I put into politics, I still haven't been able to find the magic touch to make both Republicans and Democrats sign some kinda law that makes spyware illegal. Honestly, how in earth does the consumer benefit?
