Ok, it will sound a bit like a commercial here, but let's be honest, we mostly invest time in these forums nagging about a bad experience if we are to say anything about a dealer at all.

So for those of you not interested, tune out. For those of you thinking about buying your first Fcar, consider this experience.

I just picked up my 355 from The Ferrari Centre in Kent where they have 40 or so really nice cars. The handover was excellent, they spent 45 minutes explaining every detail about the car.

But here I am 3 weeks later and while driving into my driveway, I noticed something was not quite right. The car was running on only 4 cylinders! I phoned the owner "Roger" at 18:00 on a Friday and he offered to come by on Sat to have a look and trailer it back if necessary. The kicker: on the back of the trailer was my "Loaner Car", a beautiful 3.4 Mondial T Spyder! As luck would have it, the weather would be nice for the next couple of days.

There are a lot of dealers where you can buy your Italian Stallion, but at least have a quick visit to theferraricentre.com as I sense you will notice the difference right away.

    Happy Motoring!

    Welcome to FChat.

Nice to hear a positive experience! I think a couple of others rate these guys too....I was expecting it to be about one of the 'dubious' dealers we her about on these and other forums.

Enjoy the 355 and get some snaps up here when you get a min!

    Cheers
    Jamie

PS - pop some info on your profile too when you get a min...its nice to know who we're speaking to :D

My g/f and I went all the way down to Kent from Scotland to visit The Ferrari Centre at the end of last year when we were trying to make our minds up about choosing a Ferrari. We were picked up and dropped back off at the train station and had a hassle free 2 1/2 hours in the showroom with lots of friendly, pressure free advice (and coffee) from the sales folk there. At the end of the day they didn't really have the right car for us, but if they did then we would have been happy enough to go ahead and make a purchase.

For those of you who have "read the thread", you'll know that I was given a Mondial T cabriolet as a loaner car from these nice chaps at the Ferrari Centre in Kent.

Spent the day taking the scenic route to Blenheim Palace in Oxford with the framily, with the top down of course.

I have to say, I don't know what all the negative chat is about concerning Mondials. I found it to be roomy enough for us, with a nice picnic basket in the boot, to boot. : )

The acceleration for a 4 seater is quite smooth and it pulls quite nicely. Ok, the sound is a bit too civilised for my taste as my 355 is much more throaty.

The car is more enjoyable with the top down than up. Above 70 mph, it gets a bit loud with the top up, where that is not the case with it down. The wind is minimal and the ride is very nice.

For those of you looking for your first car and you have young children, give this car a look.

The one I drove is available from Roger at around 28k. She is a lovely, well sorted car with 20k miles. Worth a look.

All this being said, I am looking forward to Wed, when I get my 355 back from him!

    Happy Motoring

    Yip Adam, KHPC.
Was stuffed to the rafters with Fcars.
Really was helpful coming down from the sticks to see so many cars with so many combinations of interiors. Certainly made it easier to narrow down what we liked.

I have had a Mondial, a Testarossa and now a 512TR from Kent. Purchased, serviced and, excepting the last, sold there.

As I live in central London, Kent is not the closest F-car centre and of course there are other good Ferrari dealers and service centres, whose names and qualities are regularly cited on this site. However I stay with Kent for what I imagine are the same reasons that others stay with their dealers: trust.

This trust is translated into a tri-partite dialogue between myself, their sales department and their workshop. Sales (Arthur, in my case) are where they learn what I expect from a Ferrari, in terms of my budget and the uses to which I will put the car. The service side (Alastair) becomes increasingly important, because my pattern of driving and the distances I cover at various times of the year, build up into a picture which allows Alastair not just to carry out the routine services, but to advise on which parts may need replacing in the future.

A good relationship means peace of mind. I have peace of mind with Kent.

I bought a 348TS from KHPC a couple of years ago and had fantastic service. It was my first F car and had spent alot of time searching for a 348TS. Visited KHPC and got a very warm welcome, spend ages looking around and left a deposit on the car. They serviced the car throughout my ownership and again had fantastic service.

They then bought the car back off me when I moved to my current 360CS.

I recommend them without a doubt.
