Patrick, I think if you can get a 550 for that price in good condition it is a bargain. First it is very limited as opposed to the 8 cyl cars. Second the car is a modern day Daytona. Finally it is a liveable GT that is extremely fast. Just ask Armen and Bart D.

I would have voted for any 360, but don't think those prices are even remotely close to $100k.

I am a Cabrio kinda guy! 355 Spider for me.

I have found some early model 550s between $100k~$115k, with about 15k miles. I am taking the cost of 15k mile service into consideration, and some minor service work the car will require.

I have driven many 550s and they have been the "most comfortable" Ferraris, I've ever been in, but also liked 360 with their weight balance and sexier design. I know that comparing 550 and 360 is like comparing an apple with an orange, but both cars are SO FUN, and I can get only one. :)

Another car I am taking into consideration is, F355 Serie Fiorano. I think some of them are more expensive then some high-mileaged 360s, but I really like that car a lot, too.

Doubtful a 360 worth owning would be found for a $100,000. Therefore the 355 Spider is the preferred choice followed closely by the older yet acceptably cared for 550 that can finally be occasionally found in that price range.
