Congratulations on missing the point of my post. I thought it was quite clear, but apparently not when you're wearing lewis coloured glasses.

Your initial post was how Ricciardo only could win because of the bad luck of Lewis and the poor racecraft of Nico so at the end you just used Ricciardo for your usual Lewis/Nico comparisation...At the end it was not really about Ricciardo ;)

    FA, LH, Ricci, Vettel, Nico, Bottas, JB, Massa, Hulk, Kimi - and on that note I will say Mansell this said about 2 years ago;

--There is no real best driver, but there are a group of drivers in the right car can win and consistently. --

My order of driver is for today. Next weekend it might change. Change in anything is inevitable :)

Lewis is a very fast and competent driver....but he's no genious, he will never be one of the greats no matter how much he wins.....also because in these days, race wins clearly have much less value than in the past, with so many races per season, unbreakable cars, if you land on the best team, you will reck up 20+ victories in /4 years time...Kimi won his title agaisnt 3 other drivers, one of them with the same car and 2 others with a car that half the time was a mit better than his, Lewis only has one adversary, still he is dpoing a very good job.

Yes well, it doesn't take a GENIUS to work out that assumption is a load of old bolloxs.

That just tells me what I have known from the beginning, whatever Hamilton does it will never be enough, why! god only knows, other than that the hate must run so deep for him by some folk, it is totally beyond my comprehension.

About as good as it gets ;)
Of course he is no "genious" ;)

Won't be one of the greats no matter how much he wins? So if he wins every gp he enters for the next 4 years still not a great? Interesting...

Who are the "greats" then? Reading into your post it seems you cannot be a great if you are from the modern era (in your opinion) or if you win in a dominant car (how much wdcs are won)

Easily one of the most overrated drivers in F1 history. A good driver, no doubt, but people speak of him like he's one of the fastest ever or something.

Kimi was very good in his days at McLaren, and deserved the title then.
He was let down by poor reliability and his tyres; Alonso won the title.

Now Kimi looks like he is going through the motions, amd appears average, but even Ferrari don't sack him, so they must have a good opinion of him.

According to Forbes the best paid driver in 2014 was Hamilton, closely followed by Alonso. Vettel a lonely third quite far behind. For 2015 their values should close up with Rosberg up for a good pay rise too (is this why he's not fighting too hard?) ;)

Drivers' pay often don't reflect their success.

Vettel's four championships were not well rewarded by Red Bull and that must have played a role in his decision to switch to Ferrari (not confirmed yet).

Hamilton didn't receive much of a pay increase after his WDC at McLaren and he has to move to Mercedes to find himself in the big league.

Same for Alonso who won 2 WDCs at Renault; Briatore was operating on a shoestring and Fernando's pay wasn't huge then.

"I think with overtaking one strong thing with that is it comes with confidence. You need confidence in yourself and the car and I've felt that from the first race. There was also a bit of a monkey on my shoulder for the past few years that was perhaps not being aggressive or attacking enough. It was something I wanted to change. I knew it was somewhere inside me, I was quite aggressive in go-karts back in the day, so I knew it was there.

I don't get their listings. What constitutes "winnings" in f1 where there is no prize money and when Santander pays Alonso's salary how is that not sponsorship?

I believe Michael is from the "modern era" and he is clearly one of the greats.....however i am still to see a worthy successor in the current f.1 line-up.......
