I in My vision of what the 355 is what it should have been like when it left the factory. All the luxury and go slow bits have been removed. Obviously I’m not a purist nor care about the purist insults. There is how the 355 should be and there is boring. I don’t like boring.
The excessive gold powder coating, the giant wing, the “F355” script on the back <shrug> of the seats. It’s all very tacky. If you like it, salut, screw me, but let’s not pretend anything anywhere near as cheesy as that would have ever left the ferrari factory under LDM’s watch.
Exactly, screw you. I love it and that’s all that it matters. Opinions are like you know what… everybody’s got one. Bring your 355 and park next to it. It’ll make it look like a fiat. All good, typical boring Ferrari retirement community talk. Happy motoring
If you were confident in your decisions I don’t think you’d be so sensitive; why care? Genuine question: how old are you? Your car reminds me of the Esprit I modified in my 20s and early 30s. What I thought was hot then makes me cringe now. Regardless, enjoy!
All good… You said screw me if you like it I said I love it, therefore screw you…. 51 years old on my 4th 355. In between had a 360 and 430. Decided I like the 355 more but it needed something more. I couldn’t be happier with it. It needs a big diffuser, canards and a lip to make it perfect. It’s coming soon. I’m sure you’ll love it.
Maybe we should make a performance modifications thread - as distinct from cosmetic. They are kind of two different worlds imo - with exception of maybe a few mods that do both (like challenge grill and potentially some aero mods). The CF stuff, if it actually reduces weight, could be interesting but that does not appear to be the goal with any of it tbh.
I like the door cards and are much like a rare option Ferrari had for the 355. The wing should have been a challenge wing. The drivers seat is downright ugly. Everybody needs something to drive their minds and this is yours. If you like it, then thats all that matters. I bet your favourite colour is gold.
Nice caravan leaving Hennessy Porsche today. I was cruising through in my Hummer EV when the group was rolling out.

Hey are you the owner? I was wondering what happened to this car. Did you ever make any videos of it in motion? I always liked the engineering involved in doing this back in the day.
Yes I am the owner of the F512GTB and 550 Maranello. The 512tr motor/engine get a newer body! This easier to understand as when I say a 1997 F355 get a 1992 512tr motor. Many things were rebuilt....body, inside......motor has 450PS
