The Best Of Toronto I'm planning a visit to Toronto in the near future. However i'm not to familiar with the scene now a days. I would like to experience some of the finer parts of Toronto so if anyone has comments on the higher end; bars resturants lounges shopping areas nice places to drive around at night any comments are greatly appreciated. Zee
Try the Drake Hotel. Rain is still one of my favourite restaurants. If you have any trouble getting a reservation, PM me. Lobby is fun, too. Stay Le Germain or the Soho. Vasco, over to you...
If you want a very relaxed time with great food and not a lot of pretentious people try "Match Bar and Grill" in Woodbridge (Hwy 7 and Weston Rd). The crusted Salmon is fantastic. Of course there is always Yorkville to people watch. Where are you staying when you come?
Panorama is a good lounge/bar with the best view by far. It's in the Manulife center at Bay and Bloor. There's a good collection of nice restuarants on King st. at John st., including Urban and Milano.
Hehehe Did you say The Drake? heheh Now you're talkin! Not much more better than that on a good night. ;-) Aside from the Drake which is THE place to see or be seen. (always wanted to say that) there is always the following: -Little Italy: A cozy stretch of great bars restaurants and lounges situated on College St. (between Ossington all the way to Bathurst) Where Little Portugal meets Little Italy. This area provides an awesome taste of Europe. (Listed as the 6th best neighbourhood in New Yorker Magazine) ****, thank god I live there!!! LOL. Note: Over 100 fun establishments with a few city blocks. (Email me for particular restaurants and contacts there) Note just to name a few bars and resto's: Giovanna, Veni Vidi Vici (ask for Domenic), Il Gatto Nero ( I help pay the mortgage there - ask for Mike or Ross), Sicillian Ice Cream Cafe, Revival (Ask for Joe S.) Sotto Voce, Regina Pizzeria, Grappa, Li'ly's, Marlowe's, Tempo, Bar Italia, Brasserie Aix, College St. Bar, Perla.....and more.....waaay more! -The Danforth: A taste of little greece. Known as great place to eat. I recommend to eat then to go elsewhere to party and dance etc.......( I can't believe these guys won the friken Eurocup...ARGH!!! ....No comments Rick!) -Yorkville (Of Course) The more "hi-end" area of Toronto where you can enjoy fine dinning and party-ing at many well known areas such as Flow, 4-seasons bars (Avenue, The Lobby), Then there is Lobby Bar, Panorama, Sasafraz, Amber blah blah blah. As for "high end" you can roam the sourounding areas of Yorkville (Bay and Bloor) and find yourself in other exquisite areas within a 10 minute drive such as Forest Hill (Forest Hill Village), Rosedale (Younge and St.Clair Area)..............and more. -If you want the "riff-raff-ish" areas where you can party your ass off and not care then you can go to Yonge and Dundas Square (Hard Rock Cafe on Saturday Nights is awesome all you rock and roll freaks!!!!!!LOLLL) and also the Queen and Duncan "area" (More Clubs, lounges and bars than you can shack a stick at - what does that really mean?) -Then of course you have the Bloor West Village Area which is very simple and quiet with quite a few places to visit (Bloor and Jane) It's kinda late and I am very tired and let say "a little happy" (thanks to one of the above mentinned places) but if there is anything I have missed, please feel free to message me for more info. I am sure there is alot that I have missed. PLEASE PM ME! and have fun in Toronto! Vasco.R Goodnite.
Not a lot of pretentious people in Woodbrige???? *hmmmm* Wow, LOL Kidding. That place Match still exists??? Wow, very cool!

Nice to hear that you are having a good time! Did you bring your 360 with you? If so maybe we could meet up this week and I could take some pics for you
Ha I live in Oakville! There are a few places just downtown Oakville that are really nice to eat at. For the life of me I cannot remember there names.
Seasons, The Rude Native, Sharkey's, Paradiso, Oliver's and a few new ones since I have been there last.
Its along the Lakeshore strip. I dont know the street names too well. West of Kerr Street. Near the Marina. That's a start then go east. Vasco
If your into sushi, and looking for a place in Oakville...try Mei...(or maybe Mi). Located on Rebecca St. near Navy Street. Its damn good sushi...some of the best Ive had in the GTA area. Enjoy, Goldy
