Ya know, on the weekends, I sometimes shuttle the cars around, parking some on the street. Today, for instance, I wanted to give the Vespas some exercise, so that meant clearing a path on the driveway by parking the daughter's VW Cabrio on the street and moving the 911 from the garage to a space adjacent the the VDub. Oh yeah, and pulling the 328 from the garage. So, two convertibles on the street, a Ferrari in the driveway, and me buzzing around on two different scooters.

The neighbors have given up trying to figure me out. The woman up the street admitted she thought I was in the car business, but concluded I wasn't successful at it because I kept my inventory for so many months.

But you, my good Sir, YOU, must take the PRIZE for amused/confused/resigned neighbors! No matter how well they know you, they've GOT to come 'round with comments when you park your three - count them - three- Ferraris in front of your house!

FINALLY an end to the daily afternoon rain!! The top is coming off again at last!

 

It's close but not quite here yet. We usually have that first cool snap mid October, then it heats up for a few weeks then it cools off til May.

The rain is still here for the time being - rest of the week is calling for 50% chance every day. Maybe a few more weeks til that dies down. The days are getting shorter and I like that. I hate it being sunny til 8:45 every night.

Yes, maybe I am jumping the gun a little bit, but my neighborhood has just had two rain-free days in a row!! That's cause for celebration.

 

Couldn't be truer in Dallas...from May to October it's too hot other than to go out 1X/week to keep battery up and juices flowing.

 

The best part of the end of summer is that cool, dense air which my tuned Saab and new to me Volvo XC70 really love.

 

The start of the horrible season - wet, cold, salt-laden roads coming our way. The last couple of weeks was just relentless rain up here in Scotland...... I wish I could move but unfortunately not so easy.....
