Now for the technical specs. The steaks came from allen brothers, ther were about 2 inches thick and 34oz.http://www.allenbrothers.com/wagyu-long-bone-ribeye.html I seared them on a Viking trueSear part of my grill, the book says 1200 degrees, sounds kind of high. I can honestly say these things were well worth the price. I'm just glad I didn't screw em up on the grill or over season them.

My grill is outside in a gazebo. Also if you call allen brothers , they are having a phone only special for 34 oz long bone ribeye steaks 2 for $115 use item#DA434R. They're not the Wagyu but prime and $60 off on the phone only. (no affiliation, just got a card in the mail today)

Grilling steaks is one of the great perks of having a house...

You cooked an absolutely delicious steak there! Here is one of my own...

Every so often it's nice to go all out and make a good salad with everything (cheese, tom., olives, mushrooms, diced ham, salad toppings) along with some Gouda cheese and a good steak fresh off the grill with melted garlic butter and some tea and a XX to wash it all down!

I know Wagu is expensive but it really is about the best beef you can get. there is a small rancher in California that is doing the wagu thing, with beef and veal, but he only sells once a ..month to the public. Thomas Keller buys most of his French laundry beef there, and i think he is still using Wagu as well.

When you are using Wagu, its best to use as little sauce's etc as possible so you get the flavor of the beef. My favorite is himalyian sea salt, ground white pepper, and coriander.. and maybe a brush of white truffle cream... that is eating!
