Many great expressions here that I resonate with and would only add two *surprises* for me: how GOOD it feels to say "My Ferrari," but at the same time, the attention it draws does NOT make me feel inflated. Ferrari is one fine lover, and that can actually be humbling. I think of a word subsitution to Jimi Hendrix's "Red House:" [...she left me] "but it's okay, I still got my Ferrari..."
Best thing about my 355?!? The exhaust sound just above 4000 rpms when the exhaust valve opens up... pure heaven

yes, the sight, smell and sound. and also, looking at my car from the front, it doesnt have a goofy 'face' like other cars. you know, some cars, the headlights look like eyes, the grill looks like a dumb smile, the liscence plate looks like a buck tooth etc etc. it is just plain sleek................
