Okay, next month, I'm rolling into your town. I's only got three questions:

    1. Who makes the best martinis in Manhattan?

    2. Who makes the best martinis in Tri-Beck-ca?

    3. Who makes the best martinis in New Yawk City?

Hell no! Come as you are, but the after-work Wall Street crowd sometimes makes you feel uncomfortable but **** them posers! Don't let the control-freak but hot hostess put you off either. Just head on up to the bar and ask for JJ or Fred...

Serioursly thanks for the tip. My daughter's apartment is on the same block on Leonard St. Because I'll be there for a week, I'd be happy to buy you a round.

Thanks Cap. When is your trip? I may be left-coast, though. Not traveling that much over the next few weeks. Here are some other hot spots to hit in Tribeca:

    - Nobu - Fancy, Shmancy Japanese
    - Montrachet - Excellent French-like food (I recommend the Crab Ravioli and the Paillard)
(If you need a reservations at the above, lemme know)
    - Takahachi - Excellent Sushi
    - The Odeon
    - Grace - Excellent Burgers and tons of beers on tap, too.

    ...and for Brunch:
    - Bubby's

Just had dinner at Tao, 58th between Park and Madison. Great sushi, trendy
crowd, beautiful women, but incredibly fun and friendly place. No uptight
    posers.

...Strangely, I saw your two almost consecutive posts (Goodbye F.C. and the Big D") and started wondering.

1.) you're leaving the F.C. box to explore the world outside the box... in search of Martini's in New York? Well, I s'pose that's a good place to start.

2.) Your daughter lives in New York and _she_ doesn't know where them fine Martini's are?

    hehe

Wishing you a smooth ride in a fast car with no bubblydinks behind you.
