In a few minutes I will be leaving the house with my 430 and by 9 or so tonight I'll be home in my new 599. I have read what all the other guys and mags have said about it and it is now my time to find out. I have never driven or rode in one yet. I just hope I love it as much as I have enjoyed the 430. It has been a pleasure to own and drive. I have reported the 430 stolen a few times so I wouldn't have to trade it in, of course just joking around.
I will post my impressions later tonight.

Well it's fast, real fast. I took it out to shake it up a bit and got up to 140 without hardly hitting it at all. That was in 3rd gear not ready to shift to 4th yet. I need it to be louder. I have the by pass valve open so it is louder than stock unless you jump on it. The car is amazing. I had to spend a lot of today cleaning it up from the trip home and getting the stickers off of it. I have a few pics but I need help to post. I just love it so far. It is a comfortable car and it's really good looking in person. I have a tool box in the trunk which is a first for me and Ferrari. It also came with the build photos from the factory. Parked next to my 512 TR it looks big too. The car is built tight and no rattles at all. More to come tomorrow.

Is there a way to keep the bypass valve open all the time? I have been trying to figure that out but I'm too afraid to mess something up.

Yes, mine is already. I think it is a simple thing to do. I had the dealer do it. It takes one minute.

Another beautiful grigio silverstone 599. The black piping nicely finishes the off the red interior. Very nice.

I really don't know what is stock. There are 2 big options and I got both of them. There is a 3rd that is a part of one of the 2 big options. I think the lower dash is stock. I think the doors are extra and the entry sill, Maybe the console. The first big carbon package is called carbon fibre for driving zone and the 2nd is call carbon fibre lower cabin zone. The price is about 5700 for each package. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Thanks to Peter for posting the pics for me. I really appreciate all the nice comments. I agonized over the car like crazy. My wife didn't want the color I choose on the int. or ext. She wanted black/tan. I do like black on the car and it is just gorgeous in black. Anyway she is in Arizona visiting our daughter while I went to pick up the car.
