Bruce, I have a suggestion. Why don't you place in signature that you have issues with eye sight and that's why you type in all caps. I don't think it's fair to call someone a troll because he / she doesn't understand your situation. Most of us here would come to your defense on the issue, but this might help stop some of the tension that is started over the issue. What do you think? I've placed this here instead of PM'ing you because ferrarigtofan has taken some heat here and NNO is the only one that explained it clearly.
Listen real close since you have no idea how to take a hint. You came here a month ago and have ruffled some pretty big feathers with a lot of people but you seem not to like the hint of keeping your trap shut. If you are not Nick then who? You are a troll plain and simple

I'll toss my two cents in here. Lately, I have seen JohnLamour, and ASJ8 (something similar) really laying into each other. I can honestly not tell if they are buddies just busting each others balls, or if they have something against each other. Since, mods don't do anything about these pages of insults, I can only assume they're buddies. Which is fine, I bust my freinds balls sometimes too. However, I think this sets a tone for the forum, a tone where behaivor like this is accepted. Especially since i'm sure others are confused of their intentions towards each other. Compared to any other webforum I have browsed, the level of acceptable insults here is sky high. I think that's because compared to any other forum, the members here seem very close with each other, they're freinds. We have a TOS, it has rules about insults etc, but when we let some people bend them, there are going to be users who run with it. Which is unfortunate.

I don't know this guy and he may be the troll you say, but I'm tired of seeing good people called troll as well. Who is this "Nick" and why do you think he is him?
Because capitalization is viewed as screaming on the internet, so a person that does not know you would be confused as to why everything you post is being yelled. So the solution you have chosen to deal with your problem sends an unintended feeling beyond what the written words you use. In a nutshell, your posts could be viewed as rantings by those not familar with your medical issues.
Absolutely. When it was AllanLambo vs. Ferrari owners, then Maranelloman vs. Art, and whoever vs. whoever. These are fairly isolated personal battles, yet the impact is far more devastating to the community because more than just these individuals are viewing this content. Over and over again we say to take the personal battles offline. Even I easily fall into this trap, when someone goes public with a personal attack, then you want to defend yourself in public too. Mods should catch these ASAP by closing or deleting the thread, then warning the users to keep it offline. If after numerous warnings the users still can't stay away from each other, then longer and longer bans have to be implemented. Both Maranelloman and Art received bans for this and AllanLambo was eventually permanently banned.
Bruce, It was a thoughtful suggestion. Most people on the net know that typing in CAPS is considered shouting. So, if a new person see this that is going to be what he thinks. He probably wont PM you because it's not something someone would consider. Other health issues don't require an explanation because they don't change computer etiquette . You know I don't mean offense. You are quite open to explaining the issue. I was just suggesting something that I thought might help you. It was just a suggestion, please take it in the context and sensitivity it was intended.

Bruce, I know you think I'm a troll, but don't take this the wrong way, it's meant in good faith. I just realized the other day, that you can change the font size on the internet. I learned it totally by accident. Odds are that you're already aware of this, it's probably something you sought out. But, in the case you overlooked it, as I sometimes overlook the simplest solutions to problems, I thought I toss it out there. I'm not saying change anything about the way you type, it really doesn't bother me, but if this could/does help you, that's dandy. It's been helpful for me, now I can sit at my other desk and still see the text on the monitor. I used to have to get up and look every few minutes.
Just let it go. Bruce is going to do what he wants regardless what you say. I too gave him a hard time about it for a time, but I realized I haven't been in his position before and do not know from expereince the ease/difficulty of seeing with his condition. NNO's explanation makes complete sense. Your browser solution may be workable but not practical or convenient for him. I would read what he says, not what case the letters are. This is not intended to be sarcastic or heap more on you. By continuing to argue the caps issue you might be starting to prove their point concerning the troll status. Take it from someone who has been there.

I thought you put me on your ignore list? I can assure you not everyone is familar with this issue as I was not. Everyone = 100% of the populace, not the 15% that have been here for 5+ years and have seen this issue raised before.
can't we just shake hands and be friends? though i've mostly stood in the back and do more reading than posting, i do have to come to Bruce's defense and simply state that he is not yelling or screaming or anything.... in my time here, I've not once seen him harp at anyone unless it was needed... is the fact that he types in all CAPS really such an issue to you? If he's not yelling at you, then why take it to heart? why worry if he talks in caps or in all lower case? kids (and use this term with much humor...) stop being overly sensitive.... things are ment in good fun... lets not get our panties all bunched up

The reason I asked: If you use the same SN and password on another baord I didn't know if a mod or owner of another board could login as you and create a mess. I though that might be the case with the recent issue....... guess not.
