Maybe that's a quick way to identify a car-- if it had famous owners. Bill Mitchell was VP in charge of styling at GM. He would have foreign cars bought to bring back to Styling to inspire designers. I heard that he ordered this 904, maybe not new, and modified it some (maybe to accommodate his girth) He also changed the styling in small ways. I used to see a 904 around Detroit on occasion but don't know if that was the GM one (probably would be running MFR plates). Now the Picasso angle, it's genuine, but not Pablo but his son, who I gather came to discovering vintage cars rather late. Here's the list of owners of 024, and I'd like to know how much GM sold it for, I'm guessing $6,000 or so, because they weren't into selling these test cars for profit, just getting their money back. Maybe some GM insiders on this forum remember the car and how much it was offered to employees for (I heard employees got first crack when there was a special car for sale...)
