Happy birthday for Friday Kim, I can absolutely relate to your experience, a mate that I race with has perhaps the same type L39 Albatros & took me up for a flight last year, up to Palm Beach then along the coast down to Botany Bay, back to Palm Beach & some serious aerobatics, back for a spin over Sydney Motorsport Park then back to Bankstown, he actually let me take the stick on the way to Palm Beach, wonderful experience, definitely one of those bucket list experiences He also did a great video of the flight for me, I might try to upload, I'd be interested to see your video Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here is my video, it was a blast, check out the catch I made of the sick bag that floated around during the rolls, lucky I didn't fill it up
Easy Pete..Pull back and the houses get smaller, Push forward they get bigger , pull the big handle and the houses disappear….
That’s awesome Peter, you had a lot better scenery than I did lol. Your pilot made a lot more spirited moves too!! I’ll try and get mine up this arvo!!
Ok I’ve managed to upload to YouTube. I’ve put the full video up for my friends and family to watch, so it’s quite long, especially having to look at me for 20 minutes.I haven’t added a soundtrack so everyone can listen to what’s being said although I’m being me and saying fark all lol. Highly recommend for Brisbane folk, Steve was a really nice dude!!
That's awesome Kim my mate did the editing & music to the video & my flight was probably about 40 mins, but yours was great to be able to get the dialogue back on video, seems like you did the same sort of acrobatics 4.5g same as me, it was a not to be forgotten experience for me. I felt a tiny bit queasy when we did our first rolls but then as you say you tend to get used to it, Neale has definitely had a few sick passengers which I suspect your pilot has also
Yeah I was worried after the first 3.5 G test turn it really squashes you and your head seems to go light, but the others were no problem. The advert says 6G's but I think that's marketing spin from Adrenaline. Most people couldn't handle 6 G i don't think, I'm not sure when you need a G suit but 4.5 was plenty. 2 of the 3 that went before me were sick so it has you wondering when you're getting strapped in.
