I don't know. I was gone for a month i got back the 8th. So maybe it was brought back up when i was away. It didn't seem like a date could be come up with the last I knew. Most had conflicting schedule's I guess.

I finally received a call from Noel, a representative of the Borgata.
    The offer has changed.

They are not interested in exhibiting our cars.
They will still provide security for them in the parking garage.

They will not comp us a show & dinner.
They are not offering any discounts for the SPA (for significant others to amuse themselves while others gamble)

They will offer us a media rate of $215/night down from $500+

I was not happy with the change and expressed this. I did ask to speak to a supervisor, but was declined. I was informed this did go up the chain of command and since they weren't interested in our cars, they weren't going to extend anything more than a "sizeable" room discount.

I did tell her I'd get back to her after our group chatted.

    Thoughts?

    My take:
    1) We were thinking of the Borgata anyway, so for those who want to stay over, this may be attractive
    2) Our "big gamblers" would probably be the ones staying over and would probably get comped anyway, so nothing gained.
    3) For the rest of us, it doesn't matter. Should we look at another casino?

Hey Clyde, good job anyway, looks like you got the best they could offer. What about Caesar's? That's a eyetalian connection (sorta) so they may be interested in f cars.

    a) clyde, great effort and work. appreciate it. great looking out for the
    EC crew
    b) i would only go to AC if it was borgata. the discounts etc dont really matter to me, just as long as theres secure parking its all good.
i am up to whatever you guys do.

I think we should go anyway. Can we see about getting parking up front instead of hidden away in the garage?

Agreed. 215/nite and secure parking are still good perks. Borgata is most "Vegas-like" place in AC.

It was good meeting you Clyde on Staturday. As everyone has stated before looks like you got the best deal the casino is willing to offer and whole EC group including myself really appreciate you effort. My take is irrespective of the discounts as long as we can get secured parking a drive down to AC would be alot of fun.

I was told there is no space for up front parking. That's why they aren't interested in showing our cars. No place to display them.

ive been in the borgata parking garage...

its nice and wide and spacious. should be no problem designating an area for our f cars.

borgata is the way to go. otherwise a/c is a sh!thole.
clyde, i commend u on such a great effort in trying to hook up EC boyz up :)

why do u think Donald Trump was willing to file chapter 11 for his Trump Casinos last week and have CS First Boston infuse $300 million into the company while Trumps ownership decreased from like 52% to only now 25%?

he knows the Borgata ate his entire a/c casino empire and wants to get out!

Either way, it sounds like the party is at the Borgata. BYOB (bring your own bling)

    I'm in for whatever.

    We're working with them now.

So far, they will provide a section of their parking garage just for us with security.

I'll be asking later for exactly the number of exotics going & who is staying overnight.
But sit tight with that info.....I'm hoping more is going to evolve.

The Borgata is light years beyond the other casinos. It is young and fun and not as gross a crowd as you find elsewhere in AC. I think you guys ought to sitck with the Borgata. Why do you want your cars parked out front anyway?

That's right. When I was at the Borgata, I almost thought I was in Vegas. Totally different crowd than the rest of AC

Personally it does not really matter to me. I am just a bit disappointed that they would take that long to let you know that they are not going to do anything for us besides the room. They should have told you that in the beginning. It is not the money issue, just the response issue. I should be available for anything hopefully.
