I really think you are off the mark here, I just took a look around some of the international sections and the regional sections, granted Ellen was a prolific poster and did contribute positively in many areas but there are thousands of different users in areas throughout Ferrari Chat who just don't get into the off topic and flame wars, an example is in Asia there are a bunch of users in Hong Kong Maylasia and even Thailand I don't see them posting in many of the other areas just their own but when they need assistance they are in technical and other areas, the same thing goes for many of the European and other areas too, maybe now they don't see this constant bickering and high-school bullying they may come further into the darkness. for some the english language may not be their Forte and Ellen jumping all over Lame-o-Rocha and his girlfriend probably doesn't do much to encourage them into the fold.
I like the UK section as well! It definately has a different tone than GFD. I'm back to the rest of the site, man. Somebody put that "beating dead horse" icon back in here! In closing............. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Do you honestly think I didn't know he was the owner of the board. My comment was more of a joke, not serious. I've read plenty on this board. Also glad you joined SF! I've seen more and more F-chat members there now.
Ive been around here since the old format of scrolling to the bottom to read up.Just lurking really as I had nothing to add as I dont own a Ferrari.I used to visit the lambochat forum until it slowed to a halt. Its not my fault it directs me here. One thing you wont see from me is 12000 meaningless 5 word posts about some car I will never own. Joe
dang..don't you know that on this board, if you don't have a lot of posts, you are not allowed to express your opinions? the post count police will point out your lack of posts and deems your opinions worthless. you better start posting thousands of "LMAO" posts to be taken seriously.
In closing. The response in this thread and off line validates this is yet another great decision for FerrariChat.com. I don't discount any users on FerrariChat.com, however, the Allan fan is generally a new user, inactive user, and not a Ferrari enthusiast. Don't mistake the 50% or so of users that didn't care about Allan one way or another, I think those use to the ways of the internet and his tactics could tolerate or ignore him. So we're left with some that are thrilled he is gone, more that are indifferent, and a few from the Allan fan club. End result is a huge improvement and that's what drove the decision, there was only risk for him remaining, not leaving. We're moving on and for all the better.
