    My .02....

    For regular base/clear paint jobs i'm sure the two aforementioned body shops do a very nice job (although i'm not familar with either) but then there is a world of difference b/w regular paint finnishes and a custom paint job.. All i can say is that if you are looking for a custom paint job (something along the lines of a candy or pearl effect) then there are only a handful of custom painters in the GVRD that truly know how to apply paints like House of Kolor Kandy's properly. H of K paints are widely recognized as the best Kandy paints in the Biz - bar none....

    Just the basics;

    clean & paint engine bay plus new wires and hoses

    12 Dual Nox/fuel injectors (1 per plenum - 24 in total) + fully programmable Nox Mgmnt system to allow for progressive HP boost.

    an extra fuel pump - mounted inside one of two existing fuel tanks

    new larger pistons, rings and valves

    cyl heads ported and polished and injector bowls enlarged.

    Am looking into retrofitting a new fully programmable EFI system by Big Stuff 3...

    New straight pipe and Tubi R exhaust system

    the below res image is the only current pic of the Nox system i have right now.... i will post better images once the car is out of the shop.
    look to the immediate left of the left bank of injectors.

    Hey Dr Will,

    I see you havent taken the engine out yet ? I would think you would have done that by now since you started on the body already and since your redoing the engine. When are you planning on taking it out ? Im assuming since you painted already that the engine is out now ? I must say it is looking just deadly with that paint job. Cudos to you for redoing such an awesome piece of iron. Cant wait to see it when your done. Kepe posting pics as you stage through, would love to see the progression !

    Apparently it was the 3rd 599 brought thru the Vancouver dealer. I heard the 1st went to the dealer/owner in Ohio, 2nd went to a Calgary collector and the 4th going to Calgary again.

    Big Red,
    thanx for your comments.... As for the engine.... that was an old picture taken before the final base coat and Kandy paint was applied (obviously).... and yes the engine was pulled and has now been safely tucked back into place.

    Kandy paint/clear coats and polishing are all done now..... i'm just waiting for new SF shields, badges and ornaments to be bolted back on and then its off to get its new wheels/rubber, brakes and a final tune.

    Just got my new Lics plate for the little go cart "RED 4RE". Will keep you updated as to my progress....

    When I was in Vegas in November of last year, Steve Wynn had one in his showroom. As always, looks better in person, but I was most amazed at the size of the car... This thing is BIG. Very WIDE...
