Even if it was 5km I think it should be burned to the ground. As I have said many times before. Replicas should be banned. :p

i am very curious as to this spotting. from what i understand the QP's have not arrived yet, unless you are talking about older models.

i have a silver QP ordered and it is supposed to arrive this month.
are the dealers allow to take your presold vehicles out for a spin?

Maserati also had a four-door model based on the Biturbo series called, I think, the 428, in addition to the behemoth '80's Quattroporte. The 428 was rather small, almost the size of, say, a Toyota Corolla four-door.

Could this be what you saw? I haven't seen too many of those here in Vancouver, just the two-door versions.

The one that I saw is a 2004 model. So bad that I didn't bring my camera at that time.

Yeah those were cool. But horrible for maintenance. I had a 425 once, that's what the old Maser 4 door's were called.

Then yes Peter, there was the ultra Miami Vice old school quattroporte. I once drove one and it seemed like It probably would have run better if there were "more weight in the trunk" ;) if yah know whatta mean.

Thanks. I knew it was 420-something.

Horrible with maintenance? I suppose just as bad as the Biturbo? And just what are their problems? I've heard before they had head-gasket problems, but what else?...

Yes, the 425 is a bi-turbo as well. And lets just say that the head gasket problem job is worth more than the car itself! I wouldnt even bother worrying about what other types of problems they had heheh.

I had a clean 1987 (or was it 88?) example. With only 66000 KM Original and it had a bad valve, spewing fuel all over the place blah blah blah. Enough said, I sold it right away "as is" and not running. Too bad. They are such cool cars, if I see another b-turbo that runs, I will pick it up. I have always had something for those piles of junk.

    Cheers,

    Vasco.R

I've always liked them too, but was always scared away when I heard stories like that.

Good day today, after I haven't seen much in the last couple of weeks...

First, an orange Gallardo heading north into Vancouver from the Arthur Laing Bridge, at about 5:40 in the evening...surprising to see it out in such bad weather...

Then, a Rosso 360 Spider, black top, at the lights on Burrard, just before the Burrard St. Bridge, heading into downtown, at about 12:30 am...even more suprising to see a spider in this weather.

Today, a Bentley Arnage in the parking lot of Home Hardware at Gilbert and Elmbridge (by the Dinsmore Bridge) in Richmond, and then a black M5 (beautiful) at UBC, and a black Bentley Continental GT parked outside MCL Motor Cars on Burrard. The Cont. GT looks like a friggin turtle.
