You are right in saying that one should have their privacy to themselves so they can enjoy their cars and so on. And not everyday does one have the patience to chat due to having a bad day or just being busy. I fully understand and respect that.

I just like seeing respect when it is deserved. I have been with guys that can afford a few CGT's and have many other nice cars, and they will always treat people with the utmost respect.

I dont own a CGT but I have been lucky to drive many other exotics over the years and have always shared my experiences and took the time to answer a few questions here and there. Of course not set up an info booth but I would use my descretion for sure.

    But that's just me.

In my opinion, when you drive a halo car like a CGT, you're representing the brand, like it or not. Personally, I feel that someone driving those cars should be able to take 2 seconds to answer a question from an enthusiast, or if he has some time on his hands, let a kid sit in the car or whatever. Obviously, it is impossible to be nice to everyone all the time, but too often, it seems, the owners of these kinds of cars (CGT, Ferraris, Lambos, whatever), have their heads up their asses and think that they are gods gift to the world. Although, to be fair, in all my experiences, the people driving these cars have been extremely nice, but I have heard the stories.

And as for spotting, I saw a grey 355 Spider (with aftermarket chrome rims) in the picture, on Robson on Friday night, parked somewhere near Shenanigans. I've seen the same one a couple of times downtown, as well as at FMoV.

Spotted a yellow lotus elan heading east on Hwy 91 this morning, a silver maserati coupe and an old red maserati spider on Gravnille this afternoon, a red 308 on Stanley Park, a blue 360 coupe on Robson this afternoon.

I passed by Weissach showroom yesterday, and took pics on GT3RS and the Lambo.

Living out here in the sticks, I don't get to see too many exotics... Except for the one in my garage! :) So I was really surprised and happy to see a silver Lambo Gallardo out in Langley, on my way home from work this afternoon.

18 According to the Lambo Registry. I think there might be a couple more though...

Well then 20 cars of one model is quite respectable.

Damn right! That's quite an amount considering Vancouver isn't a big market... Just a wealthy one I suppose!

Don't sell yourselves short, I think the luxury car market is very close to the size of Seattle's. I am impressed at the affluence around Vancouver and particularly West Vancouver.

Seems that perhaps Vancouverites are slightly less into the "supercars" and Ferraris in particular....yet I seem to see much more, per capita, sales/use of Mercedes/BMW/Porsches around town. Heck, 3 series BMW's in Vancouver/Richmond are as common as Hondas in Seattle!

    And I thought the opposite.

    I agree with that.

I'm pretty sure that the SL65 that was seen is owned by a kid (well, his parents) that went to my high school. Goes to UBC...one of my friends saw the kid driving it, he's my age, 19...the amount of money this kid has is unreal, he has his own apartement in a highrise off the Burrard St. Bridge in downtown, and last I heard, had 4 of his own cars -- SLK32 AMG, CL500, S500, and now this SL65...absolutely insane

I'm not certain...I think this one came from Park Place, Ltd. in Bellevue...but someone told be the new authorized dealer would be across the street from them at the Land Rover/Jaguar/Bentley/Rolls dealer.

    interesting. 16th birthday. nice gift.
dont blame the poor kid. he just got his license for a week. he probably got some serious training on GT3 before... so sideswiping doesnt hurt that much. blame the responsible dad.

With the strong dollar, these cars are looking very good. Have any of you converted, and imported before? A 99/00 coupe can be had for 125-130K Canadian with the exchange.

I understand the bumpers need to be changes...what else?
