The Usual Suspects is a serious notch above BE ... as for Se7en ... I watched it once a while ago, didn't strike me as being truly exceptional ... may have to watch it again.

I just saw Equilibrium yesterday, was pleasantly surprised. A well thought out flick, with interesting storyline. Kinda like Minority Report, better or worse depending on the aspects ...

If you have any interest in philosophy, yes philosophy, you need to read a book called "Chaos." I can't remember the author's name. This is deep, deep stuff. Every day, we peel another layer off the onion.

James Gleick - his bestseller "Chaos: Making A New Science" probably started, or certainly helped start, the interest in the general population on the topic of Chaos theory.

Excerpt from his prologue at http://www.drawingdownthemoon.com/main/chaos.html
a link which is about the movie "Drawing Down the Moon" which is a movie about chaos...and the eternal golden braid restarts...oh that's a different book (philosophical enough, Doc? <g>)

I could have sworn i posted in this tread before. Hrmm. Either way Butterfly effect was great. I rented it thinking of it as just a means to waste some time but ended up loving it and bought it. Oh yea and I hated Napoleon Dynamite. God I want that time back.

Don't get the fuss about Napoleon Dynamite either. Sure it can be entertaining at times ... but nothing more. I'm glad I just downloaded it. Already deleted! lol

I'm sorry, but that was one of the most mindless movies I have ever seen. It borders on the stupidity presented by Zoolander - except Zoolander was actually funny. I laughed maybe three times in ND...the rest was spent wondering why I am wasting time watching it.
