Why does it have those ridiculous exhaust pipes?

Edit: I see it had them in the film.

Congrats to Jeff!!! Monumental moment here and this car in that movie made such an impact it deserves this!
I remember running to the auction to see this car because I was afraid like so many others it would end up in Japan.

Emilio, you were very smart to buy that car.. and also to leave the wing on. After doing the Countach Rally I report we did not have 1 front wing car! Of all the types, it was talked about a lot that nobody had one there. Now one of the owners has one, but is in the middle of several projects with it so brought a different car. Jas and Trefor were ahead of their time. Many imitator wings were tried and all look terrible- but the their original design and boomerang rear bumper looks fantastic IMO.

Incredible to see all of this Countach love. The Cannonball car is one of the most important cars to a generation and I’m happy for Jeff and the Countach community for this recognition!

If the Risky Business 928 sold for $1.98MM the Cannonball Run Countach could be argued as among the most valuable extant. Food for thought.
