    Hehehe.

Last I checked the steering wheel was meant to help in controlling the spin, not to be taken until you ask "To use the wheel, or not to use the wheel, that is the question."

    Glad your ok Dad.

I'll see you and mom tomorrow. Oh, and we need a camera mount for the other one, so adam and I can tape how we do!

Whoa dude... you really pucked the fooch on that one !!

Um, why don't you skip our private track session in November? Folks like you are a menace to society and decent drivers everywhere.

I can only surmise that you learned to drive the Mazda using this simulator:

Too funny! Actually, I don't think those things come in my size. I wish it did, it might have helped. Does the steering wheel come off as well? I suppose Luca is a master already?

Wow! I got dizzy when I watched that!

Man, I've never heard a Ferrrari that sounds like that. Is that Pep Boys custom exhaust or something?

By 'loose nut' do you mean that metal thing holding the wheel on, or the thing holding on to the wheel, or both? Hehehe.

Hehe, L8Braker, that BigPineKey must be one of our family friends, Jody. He's the one that leaked the video to the web. hehe

    Welcome to the club!

Great to see you got that one out of your system Rob. I did the same thing at VIR a couple of years ago in the same spot! Since then I have a few more major offs, but I get better each time!

Great video...and glad you are OK

Yo there, Robert! Yea, it's me.

Since I can't be there this weekend, it's up to you and your brother to keep your dad under control. I know that's a big job, but y'all can do it!

Keep that rental car pointed straight and be careful.

Rob, great that everything came out ok!

At Roebling this weekend, www.targa66.com, one of our new friends from the Indy event left the track in a 360 Challenge at near 160. Strange story if I get it right.

His alternator dies, computer went nuts, and locked up all tires as the ABS system failed!! Tore the undertray out, as well as some other minor damage. I noticed a camer mount, but did not have the heart to ask him if a camera was active during the spin. They cound not fix the ABS, so his weekend was done. However, another 360 continued to run, and right next door, was a beautiful BBLM, also managed by FoW.

By the way, both 360's had damage, lending credence to the twitchy at the limit handling stories you read from time to time.

One of these cars, including the BBLM may make our event.

If you get the chance, you must see a www.targa66.com event. Go to member login, and then photo gallery.

David, I have nothing but sympathy for the "twitchy" aspect. I feel for them especially when I was trying to stay behind the remaining 360 right after you left.

The worst I've seen would have to be the Mercedes CLK-GTR that went over the 20 ft. fence and into the trees on the straight at Le Mans a few years back. Atleast you have the video now to support what will make a very good story in the future. Glad to see everything is OK.

PublishedInForza: I think there is about 50 ft between the gazebo and the concrete baricade that separates the front straight from the track between turns 2 & 3. Looking at the tire tracks in the grass after the event I pretty much split the gap between the two obstacles. Pretty good driving considering the steering wheel wasn't attached. Wouldn't you say?

JDavid: That was some video. It makes mine look like a classic clip from the Mouseketers. I bet if I had hit something that hard I would be speaking in tongues as well.

We'll, you konw what they say, if you're not spinning sometimes, you're not trying hard enough!!

They are looking for cars at the Hilton Head Concours that can take riders around Roebling Road. Can you bring one? Bobby Rahal will be there in his Carrea 6, also, you will get track time.

JDavid: I was really hoping to attend the event, but that is the same weekend as Parent's Weekend at the school where my sons go. I guess I will have to be a good Dad, like I was last weekend, and go visit them. Besides, I need to get the other RX-8 back from them so Mrs. eclipse 185 can do her FIRST track event at Roebling next month with the PCA. I know everyone will have a great time and I look forward to seeing the pictures.
