Just had a bottle of Pol Roger 2012 Rose at Le Grenouille. Marvelous fruit. Certainly a bargain compared to pricier vintage rose.

Local shop. I wasn’t familiar with their vintage. I like the non-vintage for a standard bottle of champagne, and the Cuvée Josephine is fantastic, but I somehow missed this one in the middle.

We had the chance to visit the Champagne Brimoncourt (introduced by a fellow Ferrarista) - it's not a big house and so it's probably not widespread, but it demonstrates interesting craftsmanship.
My girlfriend also got a diploma of Champagne sabrage :) - I had no idea of how it was actually performed before (the misconception being that the saber actually cut the bottle, which it does not... the bottle breaks from the shock, given proper preparation).

We opened a bottle that has been around for while last night. I gave it to my parents for their 30th anniversary. This year is their 50th, but the bottle was still in superb condition.

cool coincidence! I gave my Parents that same bottle (in a gift box with two Riedel sommelier glasses) for their 40th. Bought them another bottle 10-years later for their 50th.

Love it! - but not so much the hangovers it gives me. I like it with spicy food - or Foie Gras.

Standard bottle of our go-to Friday night Champagne - the L-P last night. Fresh bottle and always delivers. I have a couple bottle of Chapel Hill rose, a British sparkler we've enjoyed before. Going to pop one tonight Cheers!

Everyday sparklers category. This was recommended to me for a bargain (about $48) sparkler. Some bottle variation in the two I tried. Medium colour and body. Weird slightly bitter aftertaste. Wine a touch salty. My wife like it more than I did. Next! Image Unavailable, Please Login

Our local wine guy really likes the Grower Champagne from Bernard Gaucher. I thinks it's OK, but a good deal at around $40. We received a bottle of the Gaucher Reserve as a gift. It was very, very good. Lovely balance, not one overwhelming characteristic. Would drink again.

We were looking for something easy to go with grilled burgers. Found this at Costco for $ 38. Strawberry and rhubarb, medium colour and fruity nose. Fresh bottle. Certainly not exciting nor something you'd want to drink frequently, but for causal meals and a summer sparkler, good bottle for the price. Janet liked it more than I did. Cheers! I opened one of these with some friends last night. I was really impressed by the brightness. It had a lovely lemon, pear, apple nose with great structure. I think it’s a keeper in the $75 price range.
