Happy Birthday! I have virtually zero experience with British sparkling wine. It’s something I would love to learn. JK
Jim. The Gusbourne is also good. Around $60 I think. I've had a few others that were so-so...and to prove it I can't remember their names. We had a Brit sparkler on Virgin Atlantic a couple of weeks ago coming into JFK from UK and it wasn't so hot. They also had L-P so we were happy. Peace, Keith

Congratulations! 52 years is a great achievement, and you certainly celebrated in style. How is the 170th? I haven’t opened one yet. JK
We cracked into this one tonight. A truly great expression of Bollinger’s Pinot Noir. It’s the latest in their series of single property expressions, and delightful. Rich from its time on the lees, but still bright with apple and light tropical fruit. Image Unavailable, Please Login JK
The latest edition from New Year’s Eve. 2012 Pol Roger Winston Churchill. It paired wonderfully with dinner. Smoked salmon Benedict, duck confit, capon with mushroom duxelle, rack of lamb. Image Unavailable, Please Login JK
We had a bunch of L-P rose over Xmas in Las Vegas, a Roederer and a Taittinger but nothing special. My lousy head cold kept us from opening something nice on NY eve. Drank some kind of grower rose that I can't remember anything about
I opened the first of these last night. It was excellent. Very honey-colored with citrus, stone-fruit, flowers, and chalk. I paired it with some grilled lobster tails. Image Unavailable, Please Login JK
Anyone have any opinions/thoughts on Rare? I was given a bottle as a gift for my daughter's wedding but honestly know nothing about champagne. Thanks.
