anybody thinks ferrari have a chance at spa? sounds a little silly, but i think they do actually, cos of the location of spa, high up the mountains, cooler temp., hopefully, BS tyres can perform better in cooler conditions...but then again, thats just a slim hope...wat ya'll think? agree with me?

Agree. And we might just get the chance. It's a rare Spa race that doesn't see rain for at least part of the weekend and, at times, the weather can be a bit chilly. That's actually part of the "magic" of the place. This may be an opportunity to see the Bridgstones perform under rather different conditions. Not very hopeful for a good result but one can always wish.

I'm not so sure rain would make it better for Ferrari. If they didn't get enough development on the dry tires why would it be any better with wets? While MS is great in the rain there are a few on Michelins that are no slouches either. That being said, it still would be interesting.

Ferrari's chances at Spa this year is like the chance of snow in Miami in June...possible, but highly unlikely.

    Ditto every word.

Besides: It ain't just the tires. Istanbul and Monza showed how there is something fundamentally wrong with this chassis. Michael doesn't just loose it like on those occasions. Snap oversteer out of nowhere like it was a 911 Turbo on ice. This car is a POS. Not just the tires.

I think it would be more of the question as to whether the Mich (and are we talking full wets or intermediates ?) tires have the same or if any of the performance advantage the dries hold over the BS dries. I doubt it. Just because the dries are smoking the BS dries doesn't necessarily translate to the same advantage over the wets.

BS has in the recent past had a clear advantage over the Mich in foul weather. It has been a very dry year so we have little even in the way testing to compare this years wets.

While the Bridgestone tires are an unknown in comparison to the Michelins the main issue is that the Ferrari is crap this year. A superior car usually retains it's advantage wet or dry. I think they still have no chance regardless of conditons.

The potential of rain is what is making me salivate for Spa and Brazil. This dry spell has gone on for too long in my book.

Looks like we may well get our chance to see a wet race for a change. Weather forecast for Spa for the weekend is:

Friday: 40% chance of rain, high 74F, low 56F

Saturday: 60% chance of rain, high 63F, low 46F

Sunday: 60% chance of rain, high 61F, low 46F

It has rained every year we have been there. Looks like the ponchos and jackets are going in the back packs once again. Should be an interesting race.

Imperial you are on drugs dude !!

I am more and more convinced there has been a fix in for the year as even when the car was a dog back in 96-98 we still had some wins but this year NONE ??!! sorry, I don't believe you go from the best car for 5 years to an also-ran in a few months...it smells of a fix

its kind of sad that MSchu. career will probably end on this sort of a note,
he being let down by the car and not vice versa.

With Ferrari spending 300 millions per year and the reputation and marketing of its steet cars hanging in the balance? Hardly.

Before I believe that I believe in Bigfoot, the Loch Ness monster and the JFK conspiracy.
