    A bigger faster TWIN? Looks like it's doing Fire bombing duty. SWITCHES can probably identify that cowling but is in Ore for X-mas and I can't reach him.

    I'm out of my league on this. B-26 Maurader is about the same size and I don't think it's really faster so I dunno.........................

    I'll have to do more research.

    You're getting me back for those "hair" jokes aren't you?

    I forgot to add the Harpoon. All those others are slow recon types. I'm not looking at four engine types but I know some Connies were used for fire bombing. They are BIG and fast.

    The Lodestar is too slow and doesn't look much bigger. The number they gave was 265 MPH. B-25 300 max

    Skyraider has it. I mentioned the Neptune but didn't think it was that fast. max speed 403

    I was a bit confused about the throttle layout in the first and second pictures. The second shot showed some extras hanging down. Never new about jet assist on those birds. THAT must be a ride and a half after drop.

    As for me, that was just a lucky guess..., but it all fit together.
    twin, firefighter, Prop, just slightly behind the side window.....Lockheed...
    quick search for "firefighting tankers" on airliners.net.......
